Wouldn't it be interesting to see a anime about what it was like when the Nephilim walked the Earth?

Ancient cultures all around the world talk about giants that walked the Earth. (Nephilim means giant if you didn't know) ....An anime like that would make me think and wonder.

Genesis 6:4 says: The Nephilim were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

So the sons of God meaning Angels had sex with Human women causing them to give birth to giants known as Nephilim. The Nephilim are the Heroes of Old mentioned in Genesis 6:4

For those of you that know about this kind of stuff do you think people like Zeus and even the Titans in Greek mythology could have been Nephilim? (Was Hercules a Nephilim?)

There are some anime with Nephilim. Senki Zesshou Symphogear G is one.

Others touch the subject as half angel half human. And the rest don't call them Nephilim per se but they do follow that concept.

And no Zeus, titans, and hercules were not Nephilim. They are from a completely different mythology.

If you want to still somehow mix both mythologies then only titans would apply as a Nephilim.

If you are only thinking of giants being the ones in control before the human era then there are even more anime with that subject but they were not called Nephilim. Anime and other media are inspired on multiple mythologies and cultures so you can't really call all giants Nephilim.

Nephilim are a specific species in christian mythology, they're not generic giants, haha. But I have seen 'em brought up in a decent amount of stories (both western and eastern).

Gods and heroes of greek mythology were exactly that, there's nothing indicating they were secretly this christian concept. Someone goes "wow dude I once heard this city's king dragged Cerberus out of Hades" and a centuries old telephone game turns it into the twelve tasks of Hercules, propped up by people from that same city wanting to be descendants of someone really cool.

The easiest example is a hero that wasn't exactly the fighter kind, Asclepius. Existing at some point or not, dude was a famous medic, died suddenly, so everyone in his city needs a reason to think a guy THIS cool could just drop dead. Obviously, Zeus must've struck him down for being TOO good at healing. Take it a few centuries foward, now he's a god that started mortal but then learned a bit too much.

The last bit sounds like you're going for a Paradise Lost type of style where demons are named after gods from different mythologies in order to explain why there's different gods in the world. I think you might want to check that out.

As for the Zeus and the Titans... ehhhhhhhhhh.... no, not at all lmao. Titans are a different subset of deity and Zeus went up against them when they wanted supremacy. I don't know how you could blend the two together or say they were both Nephilim.

Record of Ragnarok is pretty awesome from what I heard (I've been meaning to check that out). I think an anime would probably be the only way to do it.

Tbf anime makes everything interesting. I do cheerleading but the cheerleader anime made it look 10,000 times better. Don't make me mention the anime about excercising lol.
