Hey guys! I'm Bones, the creator of a Discord server called Tapastic United, home to other writers and artists who wish to network and share their ideas. We were having a conversation earlier and a few of our members had the idea for a writing event called Writeober! Since Tapas has opened up their noveling platform, we thought this would be a good way for people to interact with one another and connect with more writers!
So, without further ado, I'll answer some of the quick questions you might have below!
What is Writeober?
Writeober is to writers what Inktober is to artists. A way to boost creativity and rouse your inner muse so that you can put out content. It doesn't matter if it is good or not as long as you're getting things done and having fun. Many of us know about Nanowrimo or National Novel Writing Month but October has thirty-one (31) days and not a single day should go to waste.
What do I do for Writeober?
Glad you asked! All you do for Writeober is write. Whether you're editing, starting on a new idea or just want to do something random, everyday you do something new or continue with something you've been working on.
Then when you feel confident enough to share, you can post a line from what you were working on, share something you were glad that you caught, or tell us something about your writing!
Can I use this thread to advertise my novel?
Of course you can! Networking and hanging out with one another is one of the most important things that Writeober has been built around. However, we'd also like to know more about what you have been working on! Join in on the fun and stick with us for the rest of October.
So, what do I do now?
Well, as of this post date, it's October 3rd. So get out there and do your best!
