Hey everyone,
I've been working on a small writing project for the past couple of months. I would love to work with an artist to make the story a webtoon and not just words. Let me clarify a few points first of all :
- I'm not an experienced writer, just a university student with a good imagination.
- English is not my first language, but writing in my first language is not really attracting.
- I just started learning on paneling and using software to make easier for the actual artist. Still, I'm not skilled enough to draw by myself.
- I do this only for the fun of it and want to share a story, in my opinion, interesting and original.
STORY
An new island has been discovered north of the mainland by a trading ship lost in the sea. On the island, a mountain standing taller than the clouds could be seen : Mount Houzen. After the discovery, people wanted to climb to mountain, discover new things, but climbing Houzen is a hard task. The ecosystem, the temperature and even the laws of the world itself are different. Around 200 years after the discovery, a young man named Nao starts his journey to reach the top, where no one ever stood.
The story follows Nao through his journey to the top of the mountain. On the way, he will make friends, face extreme conditions, etc. The mountain is made to be split in stratum. The first one being a forest (0 to 2000 km), the second : caves and underground tunnels (2000 to 3500 km). The third : ruins of a past civilizations (3500 to 4000 km) and the fourth one, the sea of clouds.
In each of the stratum I want to address a theme. In the story I will explore the themes of friendship, purpose (in life), fear, death and specific laws of nature.
So the story is not about fighting and willpower, but more an exploration of the world and oneself.

If you are interested in drawing the story with me, please also send me an email with some sketches so I can see your drawing style. I'm not looking for a particular style, if the artist is skilled and think the story is great, perfect.
