Hi all! Excited to be here. I am an experienced writer looking for an artist to make webtoons. I do not have any webtoons published but i have lot of articles and such published in journals.
I have many storylines to choose from depending on artists interest, adventure, romance, fantasy. They are more character driven and mostly female protagonists. I am looking for someone whose interested in longer term partnership. It would be unpaid unless we got lucky enough to get promoted. I promise my storylines won't disappoint.
To address some of the points of the guide shared with me
Writing style: I write characters with destinct personalities who grow one way or another. I am really into complex characters and plots. I write strong female leads who have some romantic interests and follow the traditional flawed hero concept, where the female leads do have some type of character flaw that affects them. This flaw isn't always resolved but they do grow over the series.
Genre: my stories are usually fantasy based because I find grounding things in our world tends to call many socio-political issues into concern, so I prefer creating worlds similar but not ours. there is always action and some romance involved.
So the fun part is there are often creatures, people, planets, and so on that we would have fun visually creating together
Artist style: i do like the manga style of art and I am not crazy about the ultra realistic American comic form, however, I find that artists often have perspectives I have not considered.
Length: since my characters and plots tend be complex and layered, I am looking at a longer series, however, I am totally flexible with schedule and do not have any time constraints. This is just something I am very passionate about and would love to move forward with.
My background: I am new to the forum only because I didn't know such collaboration forums existed. I am an avid collector of books, comics, and so on. I am member of a couple webtoon sites and a PhD student in literature. While my published work is not webtoon, I have several academic papers dedicated to the analysis of graphic fiction, early american, and native american literature. I am a total book nerd.
Rights/Profits: I do not foresee any profit from this endeavor, however, if promoting and any kind of profit did occur, I believe that all profits should be equally split. Author-Artist partnerships are collaborative and therefore have equal rights to the payment. As well, I believe that Artists retain rights over their art work as Authors retain their rights over their writing. strong text
Since I have several story lines here a few brief summaries. **These storylines have been written as books and are all completed (minus the rewriting I am doing for Eri Lee). I'd be happy to share them, but they are LONG books so it is easier to share via email or google docs or something. **
Hold My Heart: Fantasy adventure about 17 year old girl named Cursity. She discovers that in her world there are** Humans and Beings (not human beings). After being granted a "gift" by a Being King named Alocer, Cursity is forced to see the world in a new light as Beings, human-animal hybrids, seek her out to find Alocer. With the aid of a strange Being named Kobal, Cursity learns to navigate the world while trying to survive Being encounters and the "gift" that reside inside of her, slowly consuming and replacing her heart.
Bloodmoney: Adventure/fantasy Amare was just trying to help what she thought was a lost boy in the abandon building her friends were playing hide-n-seek in. The next thing she knows, Amare is falling down an elevator shaft and into the world of Rossonero, a world where people don't have bones, but blood made of jewels. Trying to find her way home and keep her identity as an Ivory, one with bones, Amare must learn the ways of Rossonero with the help of L'altro. Yet even if Amare finds her way home, Capo Sangue and Soldi Quadri, the leaders of the two most powerful families, may not let her leave, for two very different reasons. Will Amare escape with her bones still intact or will they be harvested for profit?
Blame the Three-Eyed Cat: Adventure/romance Alessandra woke to a nightmare. Men broke into her house and kidnapped her and her best friend Kayla. Imprisoned for months, Aless finds herself at the clutches of the sadistic Dominic, a slave trader who develops an obsession for her. When the time comes, the two girls, along with about twenty other kidnapped children, are released for "a most dangerous game" scenario, where the slaves must run home before they are caught by slave buyers. It takes all of Alessandra's might to stay in control as she struggles to reach home before Dominic can find her again, or may even worse Cahan, a crime lord who she has a strange connection to. Interwoven with Alessandra tale are fable like stories of the Three-Eyed Cat, who brought Death to the world of humans.

Then suddenly her world is brought crashing down as she finds her home invaded by soldiers who call themselves the Reformers. Forced to home and hide these men, Eri and her family face emotional, physical, and sexual violence as their lives are torn apart. Yet it is only the beginning, for the Reformers have come to bring an end to the United States by any means necessary.
The Immortals Are Dead Fantasy/Adventure Chenoa Rose always loved stories of the spiritual world her father told her about as a child. Yet she never imagined that other world existed until she met Tristan and Ventus Cordis (Cor). Between Tristan, her family friend who is actually a Nonelement, a creature that was never born so can never die, trying to "feed off her" and Cor, a man with glowing electric blue tattoos whose natural form is a gigantic wolf with wings, telling her she is a "spellbinder," Chenoa's mind is blown. It becomes her decision to embrace her destiny as a spellbinder, despite her father's objections and many hidden secrets, or to ignore her abilities. Kidnapping her best friend Gabby, a strange man promises that only when Chenoa remembers him will he return Gabby, forcing Chenoa to follow him into Taikaa, the World of Magic, where spellbinders are prey and Chenoa's forgotten past lays hidden.
