Hello, lovely creators!

Thank you so much for all the attention and support that this has gotten over the last few days! I'm super happy to say that I've gotten in touch with an amazing artist and will be working with him to get this comic off the ground. We hope to share it with you as soon as we are able.

Thank said, I'm keeping this post up as a sort of reference point. I've been told that the way this was presented and formatted is a good template for future calls for collaborations, and hope that it may be helpful to those who are looking.

Hi there! I'm new to comic writing but am a writer by profession, and I've been sitting on a story for the better part of this year that I would really like to see turned into a webcomic.

THE DETAILS:

[Paid or Unpaid]
I'm not looking to lowball any of the amazing artists on here, so I'll be upfront and say that the most I can pay you (for now) is about US$20 per episode/chapter. If or when it becomes monetized then I'd be happy to go for a 70/30 split with you, with credit of course going to the both of us. I'm not really in this for the money, though that would be great. It would just make my life to see this story in the flesh (rather, on screen) and shared with people.

Full disclosure: I have contacts in publishing (am based in Manila, PH), so turning this into a physical book is within the realm of probability. We could, alternately, go the self-publishing route. It really depends on you, o future artist mine!

[Genre]
Romance and drama, mixed with a little bit of sci-fi

[Length]
60-ish chapters, divided into four main arcs. I have the whole thing outlined, pending writing in whatever format is best for you to work with.

[Art/Style]
Not looking for anything specific, but if attractive boys and girls are in your wheelhouse then I'm pretty much sold. I'm looking to post on Webtoon, so scroll format would be great. I have an idea of how it could look, but will of course defer to your artistic expertise.

[Expected Update Frequency]
It would be great if we could update twice a month! Or however often we need to comply with monetization requirements. Again, as this is a passion project I'm open to working around your existing schedule and capabilities.

Wanted to let you know that the link isn't working. At least on my end for me. It keeps taking me through a process that seems like it is to share documents for signing. Your project seems really interesting and I think it would make for a cool webcomic!

However, I think you should go into more detail about the type of work you expect out of the artist for this collab. I know you stated what you're able to offer for payment, but it might not be enough to convince some, especially since signing up for a 60ish chapter webcomic requires a lot of work and time commitment.

Maybe for your post you can include how the work will be divided between you and the artist when it comes to scripting, story-boarding, character design & related research, environment design & related research, lettering, coloring, etc.

I wish you luck with your project! My art is currently going through an upheaval so I can't really offer much, but if you ever need a volunteer line artist or flat colorist, feel free to hit me up!

Wow, it's actually quite interesting! And the script is really detailed, too. (and you're based in the PH where I live. Coincidence )

I would love to work on this project, but unfortunately, I'm not that confident about my backgrounds and anatomy, especially regarding perspectives. (And I have a feeling that constant backgrounds are really essential to this story.)

I'll just boost this, so hopefully you find your artist real soon~
