Hello, I’m no professional writer but I’m a little tired of writing normal novels after 10 years. And so, I am interested in writing for an artist who’d be willing to collaborate. I cannot offer any money and am not seeking any financial gain. I’d merely like to write something different as a creative exorcise, but I cannot produce art/drawings fast enough to keep up with a schedule.
In contrast to my stories…
I was hoping to find anyone willing to work on a BL oriented webcomic or however they may see fit. I’m not looking for anything elaborate or super detailed. Instead, I’m looking for an artist who can give life to my words—while of course, injecting their own self into the work. To help an artist out, if they need it, I can help give rough sketches/storyboard pages/panels/color choices/suggestions.
I would prefer an artist who’s good at human anatomy, eyes, and expressions. Possibly something Similar to my work, posted below. Of course, I’m (not) looking for anything explicit/vulgar/nsfw.
A short synopsis of the story.
A 26 y/o man moves to South Korea for a teaching job, but by the time he gets there he learns he’s too late. The position had been filled. Having paid his apartment fees in advance by 2 months, he either has to find a job or move back home. He agonizes about the idea of becoming a writer but cannot produce work fast enough to compensate his short time frame. So, instead, he visits a flower shop café every day, finding comfort in the plants and pastries. Although he’s wasting his time, he eventually meets a waiter who takes interest in this foreign customer who’s here every day.
The writer isn’t too friendly at first but slowly opens up as the waiter pries into his life, eagerly wanting to know more. Soon, the writer tells this waiter about his financial situation and how he’ll have to move soon. The waiter manages to get his new friend a job and from there they start to spend each day together and inspire one another. In that short time we are meant to see how they grow together or if the writer stays in the country…or moves elsewhere.
My ideal for this project could be long term or not. I'm rather flexible with the idea.
Below are some of my examples and I apologize if they are huge or too many. I tried to size them down as best as I could.
