I just wish they told us upfront. If they had been responsive and said "Hey, this may not be getting much marketing and this is why," I totally understand. A company's got business priorities, life gets in the way, I'm totally cool with making the best of what we've got. But promising something and then going radio silent with no communication is not a good sign. It's a lack of transparency, and without transparency you lose trust, and without trust creators will abandon this platform.
Sure, if you want to get real, READERS won't abandon the platform as long as the content they want is there (e.g. HBO for Game of Thrones), so as long as Tapas can keep striking deals for overseas manhua they'll be fine. But Tapas established itself as a platform that really cares about independent creators and the community, much like Patreon, and I really hope that doesn't change. Too few companies with a soul these days.
