-sinks in chair.- So, let's talk. It's been a wild few days, and so much has been going on creatively. I don't even know where to start, so! Here's a major info dump about what I've been doing.
My primary computer is finally working again! My new charger and new battery came in, and I feel like a new person. All of my projects are finally synchronised, and I can even take my laptop with me to work if I need to. AUGH. I can't express how happy I am. Seriously.
I've been working on my Patreon all day. I completely moved files between email accounts, reuploaded them on Patreon, cleaned up old posts, and queued some requests for the future. Everything is feeling a lot more clean now. I'm so happy about that, augh.
I found one of my notebooks that has some old ideas in it. I found concept about the Sun and the Moon that I might end up developing. It'll definitely be a oneshot, and if I do something with it, I'll more than likely end up posting it here. I've been thinking a lot about that mermaid story I posted not too long ago. I'm really wondering if I should do something about that too. I try not to do themed things as much (outside of, maybe, goretober), but I really feel tugged towards this narrative.
My brain feels less like soup, but it will still be a long way before I'm fully recovered, I think. I'm trying not to push as much though. 'Trying' being the operative word here. So what I ended up doing is planning a lot of stuff. Laying down the foundations really helps a lot. Even if it feels like nothing more than small attempts, hammering down the basics and the nuances goes a long way and will really help you out in a pinch. Just my little side tip, haha. One of my favourite quotes is always applicable in times like this: It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop. Thanks, Confucius. My spin on that would be Even small stones contribute to the largest castles. or something like that. Haha, aaaah. God, I'm tired.
The small planning/foundation work is mostly relevant for the major projects that I'm working on. Since Mortal Machines is on an informal hiatus, I've been trying to breathe easy. The contest is still going, and I think I have everything I need to keep the winners' sated. I'll probably have another chapter or two ready by the time I feel ready to post again. I'm trying to post by late June (work responsibilities have kicked up and health has gone down, oof), but if I end up posting before that, you will know.
I feel like I'm saying a lot of the same thing, haha. I think a lot of the work has been mostly behind the scenes stuff. I'm really flipping through a lot of content I can get done in the short term and post later on. But again, I'm trying not to push myself too much.
Keyword: trying, hahaha.
