I'm also doing an illustrated novel! I think I've mentioned this before, but I adore your use of color!

So far I've only done night scenes for this novel, and have learned a lot about lighting in the process, though I definitely still have more to learn.

I tried something very different for this week's illustration, and while I think it looks cool at thumbnail size, I feel like the larger it is, the more "off" it looks.

I draw occasionally but I'm not really good at it I started drawing because it seemed to be fun and a good way to pass some time when I don't want to write

I also made the cover and the thumbnails of my novel myself! Soon, I'll have a drawing of one of the characters featured in one chapter but detailed character art isn't my strength so I'm a bit worried about that

Actually this thread is for writers that do not have comics and prefer making art of their novels and stories. Comic writers already have it so easy with their art, hence why I wanted to put writers who make art in the spotlight

People in general assume writers cannot draw, so I want them to feel loved

I am another writer who is doing an illustrated novel! I don't have enough time to make a webcomic but I enjoy writing and making my own artwork!

Your work is so pretty! I love how colorful it is, but the drawing are still so clear. Beautiful work.

I mostly draw concept art to get a better idea of characters, and covers. I'm so bad at requesting covers it's easier to draw them, lol. And sometimes I do dumb memes of my characters.

And other times I just like drawing fantasy stuff, but mostly I sketch because I'm lazy to color.

Omg, your art is so beautiful! It's so colourful yet all the colours work so well together. I love the psychedelic vibe it gives off.

So far, I've drawn the cover art for my novel and some quick small art for the thumbnails. I experiment a lot though so I feel like my art style changes too much lol
