I think this is what I agree with most because when I first tried when I was trying to read BL stuff, it seemed like nobody really had any interest in mentioning the noncon aspects of the story or was much warning to it lol, which was why GL was a lot more approachable. It's a lot easier to avoid now imo, making it a lot less of a pain to try things within the genre.

A lot of them seem to take place in school or they're teenagers, which is a complete turn off, and they always look slender and pretty. I never see any big beefy guys in BL.

My one and only pet peeve in most BL (not all) is that the romances are not substantial or healthy, superficial and usually just serve as fanservice instead of showing how beautiful two people being in love can be.
