Your character's worst fear? (any of them)

In terms of my main character, one of his biggest fears is intimacy: he's scared of opening himself up because he has many, many secrets.
What about you guys? What are your characters' worst fears?

for my Room for Improvement comic: Stevey Redd is afraid of heights, Arty purpall is afraid of gerbils and ghosts, Amy yellou is afraid of herself, jerry bloo is afraid of the unknown, stephanie green is afraid of failure, johnny o'ange is afraid of trolls (internet-kind), and sam wight isnt afraid of anything. In Catihorn, the secondary main's biggest fear is super spoilery(hint: it has to do with his brother), but the main's is fair game, haha.

Raul is actually terrified of two things. Being alone, due to a myriad of reasons, mostly the fact he never really learned how to deal with not constantly being surrounded by people being raised in a massive family, and drowning. The drowning aspect comes from the fact that, in universe, cats not only can't swim, they sink like rocks. Falling in deep water is an immediate death sentence. Makes sense he'd be a bit frightened of it, haha.

Grave's fears are a bit complicated. She fears nothing more than loosing her identity, which she has battled in the past. It is a problem ever since. I can't really explain much more without spoilers... oh dreadful spoilers.

She is also afraid of not being able to stop the killer she is hunting. It keeps her up at night.

In Grassblades, Masahiro's biggest fear right now is himself. I can't tell you why (because spoilers, that's why), but he fears himself. And Akane fears being left alone.

They're fairly basic fears, but they help shape the choices they make and the interactions they have with other people and each other.

In No Future Andrew is afraid of his upcoming death. The reapers he keeps seeing also horrify him beyond words. Another character, Osiris, is afraid of fish.

My character Quixel's worst fear is fire light in a small space (like a cave, for example) due to a certain event that happened when he was a toddler that he dreams about almost every night

My main character of Creepie Ellie she is afraid of pink, the sun and anything happy and bright and cute I could go on lol.

He's a six-year-old kid so I think most of his fears involve monsters. The big, deep hidden fear I don't think Andy Christ is quite capable of articulating yet is that he is himself a monster. Everyone he trusts tells him he's evil and he's not handling it well.

Echo is afraid of horned people (she reads too much fantasy + the ennemy of her nation often has horns on their helmets), and afraid of killing. Hrodland is an emo but doesn't complain.

I think Polyphemus is afraid of social interaction, to an extent. I'd say he'd be likely to be diagnosed with social anxiety in this day and age. There's a reason for this but I can't go into details. d:

Odysseus is afraid of being unknown. In his time the only way to get to the closest thing to heaven is to be a great hero. Plus, if you don't get into Elysium there's basically no afterlife. (there's hades but it's pretty meh.) So he's determined to live life to the full, make a big name for himself, and get given lots of expensive presents.

I'd say most of my characters have a dangerous need to control things. So I'd say a loss of control is their number one fear.

In The Green-Eyed Sniper:

Shanti's biggest fear is being misunderstood by those she loves in her motives about being an assassin. She has a strong sense of justice, and it really pains her whenever she feels judged by those she cares about.

Sekhmet's biggest fear is finding true love, as it would likely break the cycle of self-hatred she is comfortable with.

In Beyond the Ordinary, I think Beive has already experienced that. Her biggest fear was to loose her dad, which stated in the first chapter that it already happened.
She lost everything and is so bitter and mad at this, but she keeps it to herself and try not to loose it.
When she begins to see these magical, mystical creatures, she's all "Oh, I've lost it. I wonder what might happen next". She's surprisingly cool about it.

I do believe her biggest fear is to be turned back into a half-bird again.

In Pierre's case, it would be to loose his sister. He doesn't see her often as they live in different towns, but he kinda sees her as a role model and he looks up to her a lot!

I'll just name one fear, one that Andreas and Beau share, a fear of being deeply rejected. Because they've both experienced it, and while they believe they can just shake it off next time it happens to them, they're scared of how much it will hurt.

Worst fears are an interesting topic. Some of the younger characters in Heart of Keol aren't yet aware of their own worst fears because they've never had to face it and/ or because the fears are still developing.

Ethan's worst fear used to be dealing with his father on bad days. What that means precisely is yet to be revealed. Now he doesn't have to worry about that anymore, it seems like... But I am an evil author, and it is only a matter of time before a new worst fear rises to replace it. Something possibly even worse. huehuehuehue

Master Nari (aka the badass granny) is very secretly a trans woman. Being found out that she's anatomically male would be her worst nightmare. It's why she doesn't speak the same way as the other characters do: she's not from that area. She has moved far, far away from her hometown so that no one would recognize her.

Well, in Confessions the two main characters are Thomas and Rick.

Thomas's greatest fear is of his father. (which you'll found out later whats up with that)
For Rick it's 1. losing his sister. (You'll find out later in the story why his fear of losing people comes from) And 2. if people found out or if Thomas found out about his crush on Thomas. Since it's set in 1978 that kinda thing could put Rick into some serious danger.
