My comic's main character is Scamp Russell and of course he was introduced in the first episode; beating Royal Feline Lieutenant Tabino and his men. You dont actually see him on the first page. You only see Tabino's men lying crippled on the ground or thrown against the garbage cans, leading the reader to wonder who could this person be.
On the next page, its given away but only slightly. A shadow appearing from the bottom of the middle panel and a full body silhouette.
It's given away completely on the 3rd page where we see that person who's beaten up all of these adults was a little kid.
He then proceeds to beat the ever living crap out of Tabino because he stole his walkman. I'm sure that wont have any concequences
At the end of episode 1, you already know who he is as a character. He's very powerful and skilled but despite all of that, he's still a trouble making 10 year old. Meaning he doesn't have the maturity yet to use his powers wisely and not get himself or his family into trouble. This will change as the series progresses however.
