Sounds good to me What you describe as fantasy with elves, magic etc. people call high fantasy, but it is still very possible for fantasy to exist in a more grounded world.

Yeah this is why I made a alt acc for my fandom stuff
I would also like to add that it is way easier to get a following on doing stuff for a already existing IP rather than original content. I say this because for more than half a year now I have been drawing Pokémon on instagram and that does waaaay better than my normal stuff
Discord is really just a talking platform with servers and where you can call and talk with people. Kind of like skype. Its very popular tho
Honestly wherever works but twitter and discord mostly for me. Most likely because potential clients are present there rather than at art platforms. I absolutely do not trust instagram, cuz all I have encountered is scammers
