Hm, I think that I sometimes have difficulty making dialogue seem real. In other words, I am constantly worried that my characters will come off as being too unrealistic or for lack of better terms "off" in terms of speech, thus making them harder to connect with as a reader. That and pacing lol …

Yeah, of course! I think for me it's just reading and rereading my story over and over again that eventually my brain is just like yep time to work on something a little different. I always do go back to my original story after a little break though.

Trying this for the first time! Please add Chimera to the list ^ ^. Thank you!: http://topwebcomics.com/vote/21731

Seems like this thread came back up lol I guess I should give it a shot this time. It was a lot more fun than I initially expected! [image]

As for backgrounds, I specifically don't like drawing cityscapes or buildings. I don't think that I'm very creative when it comes to building shapes - I'm pretty sure that they don't only come in box shape. And where there's one, there's probably 200 more. ( . --- .)

You know when you're in the shower, and you start to have random, but kind of really concentrative thoughts? And then after you watch a ton of random scifi/crime/action shows while eating a ton of junk food, you go to bed feeling like you weren't productive at all that day and have weird dreams due …

Hm I sometimes listen to random video game music (even from games I never played before lol), or random music without lyrics. Don't know if that's a real genre though.

The first thing I noticed when browsing comics over there is that they have an implementation of the "infinite canvas" concept, where you can pan/zoom/transition between your individual panels to give it a very dynamic layout, almost like it's semi-animated, kind of like that motion book thing they …

Maybe a sylph if I'm feeling particularly dainty, or a dullahan would be cool too

Yes, I totally understand where you are coming from about stressing over the count. I too was recently on staff picks and gained a pretty good number of subs in a short time, and now I am gradually losing some everyday, sometimes more than I am gaining. It has been like this for me for about 3 weeks…

Seeing lots of good stuff here! So interesting to see how each person works ^ ^ In terms of my comic, I'm finally (fi-I'vebeenwaitingforthismomentforever-nally) moving onto some of the more exciting plot. Here is the WIP: [image]

Hello Tapastic, I currently write and draw Chimera. [image] I've been lurking for quite a while now, but some webcomics I follow and recommend are: Phantomland by Maaria and The Sanity Circus by Windy Thank you :>
