Yeah that's true, I think in the industrial side they use 3DMax or autocad more, the one medical company that I know of uses Maya. As for animation, I feel like it's generally concentrated on camera pans to show off the models. I cannot model for my life, haahah.

Oooh that's nice, I work with Maya. Sometimes I wish I'd known how to do traditional animation, that way I can get more jobs too, ahahha. As you probably know that the 3D industry isn't doing so well at the moment, sadly.
