Hello everyone! I am newish to Tapastic, joined about a month ago, but was being a shy bug hiding in the corner, and I finally decided that it's time to creep out of there..for a bit, to say HI EVERYONE!

My webcomic is called Simply Micho, it started waaay back in 2009 to parts of 2011, about random stuff that happens in the daily life of Micho the ricebug/my alter ego. Some of you may not know what a ricebug is, so here's a bit of an explanation, if you already know what it is, then awesome
The series came to a halt around the end of 2011 while I was trying to finish up my thesis (see below), after having it frozen for about 2 years, I realized how much I missed drawing comics, so decided to bring Micho back! It makes me happy to share the joy and silliness of Micho, I just love making people smile, and try really hard to get a crack of a smile out of every reader out there as much as I can.

When I'm not on Micho duty, I am a freelance animator, and this was pretty much what stopped me from doing the comics during the "frozen period". Check it out if you like cartoons or are just a teenie bit interested

Alright, enough about me! I'd love to know more about you guys too. Anything! Sorry for babbling so much, hahaha.

Here's the long summary: After the Great War, assassins became endangered for the information they hold & their ability to kill. Now that peace has been established, these assassin guilds that were once a necessity during the war are now a threat. The assassins fled to the cursed country, Luna, where the climate protected them from their enemies. A young boy named Nemesis is about to go on his journey to become an assassin. Along the way he'll meet friends, fellow assassins-to-be, & face a lot of challenges. An animator? That's awesome! My brother animates too. I don't have the patience to deal with all that. Which is strange because I'd eventually like to animate my Snappy Toons comics

When I read yours I feel like I'm reading something from the newspapers, maybe because I don't see that kind of humor and style as much anymore (or it could just be me :p). Keep up with yours too!

Awesome! Another animator! at least related to one, hahah. I've been seeing "Snappy Toons" around the forum but have no idea what it is.. Do you draw by hand and scan on the computer?

Yeah i made Snappy Toons. The thread was to see what people thought of how i made them/ to see if it actually works out. So far, so good!

Basically i'm the writer/author and the website techie; Yui was the previous main artist of chapter1 and in chapter 2 she will just be pencilling the avatars on top of the pages; LF is now the current main artist who will be doing most of the art, she also inked and shaded the last 3 pages of ch1; lastly Lily is the new addition who's a secondary artist that's gonna help LF to speed up production of pages and keep a weekly update ^^

Oooh that's nice, I work with Maya. Sometimes I wish I'd known how to do traditional animation, that way I can get more jobs too, ahahha. As you probably know that the 3D industry isn't doing so well at the moment, sadly.

yea he had to die i was heartbroken too to do it but it had to be done for the story to move on - you'll see why soon and yes there is lots of suspense in chapter 2

ps. yep! well, melon, crayon, purple bunny, and fishy (another character you'll be seeing) were all my old roomies, and there are other characters that will show up later on. Here's a secret.. Sunny is my current and the last roommate I'll ever have, and the comics with her in it are all in present time (aka new comics!). The ones with the old roomies are the older comics that I did a while ago, I am just slowly posting them up here
