Yeah, but it's still based on the story planning/plotting whatever you want to call it. When people say script writing, they are also encompassing everything you need to write a script including the plot and structure, dialogue, characterization etc

So how many rewrites and scrapping did you guys do before you were able to finally find something you were happy with?

This past year, I wrote scripts for about 10 different one shots(short comics). And while I'm writing the script, I'm in love with the story and even plan on turning it into a comic once I complete writing it but as soon as I complete the script or sometimes even before then I just lose interest in …

As you guys all know, comics can require lots of planning from the script, dialogue, character personality, character design, prop design, storyboarding etc, but when does this planning process turn into procrastination.

I put off boku no hero for a while because it seemed like your typical generic shonen anime but one day I decided, what the hell let's check this anime out. For the most part, the anime was fairly generic, the characters seem black and white, you had heroes and you had villains. Hell, some of the ch…

Every page takes me 3-6 hours. so 50 pages is about 150 to 300 hours a week and there is only 168 hours in a week. On average that would give me a 2-3 hour break every 24 hours. If I could take a 20 minute nap every 6 hours(which is essentially the uberman cycle) assuming I could get each page done …

"If the comic takes off" Comics can take weeks, months or even years to "take off" and considering you want 5 pages a week, I doubt anyone "talented" is willing to do that without pay. I'm also going to assume you want quality work, a page can take anywhere from 3-12 hours and since you want 5 page…

I've been working on a script for a one shot for a couple months now, and whenever I get feedback on it, it's usually negative. I decided to start the comic anyway, but recently I asked someone else to give me feedback and after they told me the script was generic and cliche, it's making me lose my …

I've been working on my script for more than 2 months now and I'm just never satisfied with it. I must have rewrote it over a dozen times now because it never seems satisfactory. It might have to do with the fact that I don't have much experience with writing so there are a lot of things that I have…

Sounds interesting, link me a script though

Type of people? Well, I like drawing girls, so having a female lead would make it more fun to draw.

Hey there, I'm Moe. I've been drawing for a while now but I haven't had much practice with storytelling so I wanted to work with a writer. For the time being, I only plan on making a one shot comic(under 50 pages) so if you guys have any scripts you wanted to see in comic form link it to me on here.…

For the longest time, I had this mindset of don't make a comic unless your skills are good enough but recently I've been trying to change my mentality to make comics to get good. In the past, every time I start the first page of a comic, I'll cringe at how bad the art is and end up discarding the co…

My mom knows that I want to be a comic book artist but doesn't approve of it. She always asks me why I'm wasting my time making comics when I could be spending my time better. My dad is a bit open minded only because he thinks I can make money from it. Which I'm not interested since i'm only doing …

How long as in when you finally got the initial idea for the plot to finally starting the first page ?What parts of the planning stage did you find most difficult?

Produce quality work.

Hotaruarc, Endling, and jesturr turr.

Every month I will have a broad goal like improve my head drawing or improve torso or improve perspective etc... My ultimate goal is to start a comic once I'm as good as the people I look up to or close.

THANKS! Actually I haven't even decided her colors! But I like what you chosen!

wtf is up with the 2005 version?

I've had this problem for a while, maybe I still do. What has helped me however was using shapes. [image]

Nice! I was trying to improve my ability to draw heads from different angles. I might take on this exercise or at the very least use it as a guideline for my own head angles.

A lot. Too many to list. Though I think my all time artist will be endling due to the fact that he has mastered so many different aspects of art: comics, storytelling, painting, shapes, character design, backgrounds, movement, and so on and so forth.

Yeah, don't worry about style. It will come naturally through experience and exposing yourself to various styles. If you try to emulate a specific style then you'll come off as nothing but a copy. Now, I'll also recommend studying your basics. This doesn't mean you have to stop doing comics, no …

Sounds interesting, count me in
