Haha - that was a fun thing to make!
Hi all, I'm wondering if ya'll here would be interested in checking out this highly specialized resource for comic creators seeking work or team members. I spent a few months developing a "Comic Creator Talent Marketplace" that I hope ya'll would find quite useful. Comic Creator Talent Marketpla…
We try!
Even the reader experience has improved so much just this year already!
Hi there- creator of GlobalComix here. Pretty much what I can say is that of the past 2 years, ~1.5 years ish has been very small and growing. We've made a lot of significant improvements, including collecting comics (the things readers come for!) that has had some great impact. Every single m…
I should say that you can change this at any time, however -- how you promote yourself and what payment method you use does have significant impact on the way your comic is accessed.
@rucalikes
1) Yes - currently the hard cap on an image upload is 100mb, and 3.2GB for PDF archives to account for large HQ omnibuses. Our system will automatically resize and optimize the version presented to readers for their device while retaining as high as quality as we can
2) Actually -…
Oh nice! Which is your comic?
Hi there- creator of GlobalComix here. Happy to field any questions you might have
Yes, actually that's exactly what we're doing. We're not playing to any one specific demographic because we want to be a platform that lets everyone find their own nice and engage from there. Sad face -- sounds like a bad experience. I would be remiss if I didn't say there are folks who get gr…
that makes my heart sigh
what do you think is spam?
@gh0stcr33p that looks like a project post reply. Do you have an account on GC? If not, did someone perhaps create one using your credentials? Either way, please feel free to message "Christopher" on GlobalComix and I will look into it for you directly! I'm sorry that you're experiencing some …
@carloswebcomic creator of GlobalComix here. Happy to answer any questions you might have
On GlobalComix the interactive reader gets around the mobile readability, so we welcome both Happy to have you if you want to join!
No lie. The good news is that I've just finished building up our team to be able to tackle it. The latter part of 2020 is looking good on that front
While I generally don't discuss fundraising in public, we secured a round from some strategically aligned angels who share our vision and values at the start of the year. Marketing is part of our agenda
Not at all. While I can't go into the exact specifics, at this time there's 15k+ monthly users spread out across our content. The biggest strengths are in the ridiculously powerful and advanced tooling + analytics we provide to creators, and the biggest weakness is that we're relatively new so it …
Well, we had a lot of time to get things right A huge amount of the tooling we offer were all directly requested from the community itself!
Should see my posts above
Thank you! It took quite a lot of work and time to build
Hi folks, figured I'd chime in here... Hey there! There is a platform that's made exactly for that - I built it, it's called GlobalComix. Take a look: https://globalcomix.com/publish Indeed. On GlobalComix, anyone can monetize, and you can even choose between supporter / donation style and p…
What does pays decently mean?
In theory: create account, upload your content, set up paywall (no ad revenue at this time). In reality: do some work to promote and build a following that are loyal through a paywall first.
I heard that it is otterly cool!
Yes, I'm curious about this too
And there I found a bug. You're all set, AND I've fixed the edge-case for twitter signups
It's because the account needs to be verified before you can post. I added a little visual cue for you in the UI

Welcome aboard, friend
Actually, in the screenshot you posted just now I figured out why you were getting that credits modal incorrectly (it was a display bug, not actually trying to charge credits). It was a side effect in some work I had done in preparation for letting creators be able to collaborate/co-author comi…
Hiyas -- folks gave me a ping so I figured I'd hop in quickly and clarify some things. What files are you trying to upload? Zip? Different JPGs? PDF? If it's a PDF that takes a little longer because we auto-extract the pages in the browser and optimize each image that gets uploaded from the PDF. …
For those of you looking for an alternative that has banners, mobile reading, scheduled publishing, and more stuff:
The service has been around for a few years and recently has been picking up steam with a full-time staff.
Other folks here like @Cavechan and @BobbyjoeX can vouch for it
