I'm finally getting back into working on my passion project novel, so here it is! If you're a fan of magic, mythology, found family tropes, and inclusive casts, I think you might find it interesting. ^^
It wasn’t his fault human minds were too fragile to absorb any notable amount of information about the Old Ones without shattering.
“Whatever you see of me while you’re here will be what everyone else sees.” “But does that mean it’s genuine?” “That,” I said with a slight smile, “is an excellent question.” (I know, it's three lines, I'm sorry. >.<)
Just put out a new episode of my High Fantasy BL Romance~ [image]
This line doens't show up for another few chapters, but it's still what I was working on most recently. “I won’t deny being a snake in some sense or another, but not quite to that degree.”
July @ Nytep: Nytep @ July:
I know this thread is a little old, but I hope it's still okay to post. I have an Urban Fantasy with some Literary and Romance elements that I've been working on for over five years now, so there's lots more content to come and lots of complex relationships to explore~ Title | Chaos Begets Chaos […
My Urban Fantasy + Paranormal Romance is finally entering the Romance-y stages. [image]
Mine is still fairly new, nearing 50 subs. Does that count as underrated? It's a High Fantasy Romance involving princes and elves and magic and such.
Part of her wanted to stay out of spite—not an uncommon motivation for her actions.
Thanks so much, and thank you for subscribing!
I agree these threads are more fun (and more eye-catching!) when they have a theme instead of just being links and descriptions. Here's my contribution~ Character name: July Genre: Urban Fantasy First line: “Since when do locked doors keep you out?” Latest line: “Something like that.”
MC one: "Why must every 11 minutes of my life be filled with misery?" MC two: [image] MC three: "They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Hers were more like steel-reinforced security doors, with a combination I just had to crack."
Ooooh, the music I was listening to when I started writing this book played such a huge part in my process of figuring out the story; I have a ton of good examples. I'll just give two of the most relevant ones. These are for two very different relationships, obviously, but both very important!…
I have a lil Urban Fantasy + Paranormal Romance here (about 33k words so far), if you're interested in that sort of thing~
Sometimes snakes deserve to live in the dark. (this will only make sense once we get to episode.....70 or so.)
“But why?” He was looking me over in the same way I recalled from the Flower Bed, more curious than lecherous or suspicious. “When we, er, spoke before, did we not get on well? You said that you wished we could have more time together.” With a frustrated sigh, I pinched the bridge of my nose, unab…
I...think this is my 99th page? I have all my chapters in separate documents, so it's hard to tell.
Somehow, he hadn’t considered that she would have friends among her fellow mortals.
To be honest, this little exchange from my most recent update has always been one of my favorites~ [image]
It took me about a week, but I finally updated my urban fantasy novel, Literally Everyone is a Filthy Liar (I'm kidding, that's not the actual title, but it might as well be). [image]
Ooh, fun! I've actually been really proud of this bit from my first chapter ever since I wrote it: They both knew July had no way of making her leave. That fact only seemed more evident when they stood juxtaposed this way. Valen was over half a foot taller in her heels. She was larger in every se…
Oooh, I love looking through and seeing everyone's different OCs! What a variety you've got here. ^^ Lemme just...toss my dysfunctional family unit into the mix... I'm gonna go with 'deceiving.' I'll let you figure out why.
Ooh, what a great question (and congrats on all your progress)! When I first started writing this story, the chronology was all over the place, with lots of time-skipping and flashbacks, etc., but I've since rearranged it into a more linear structure. I made the change(s) mostly because I felt the s…
I don't mind at all! I have a BFA in Creative Writing, so the thesis parameters were basically just "a completed book-length work of fiction." I haven't published it as a whole just yet; I feel like its length and format are better suited to an episodic structure like Tapas or WattPad. Once I have t…
My Lessons Learned the Hard Way series has been in the works for over five years now, and some of the characters are even older than that. ^^ It started as my thesis project in college and has just snowballed since then. I have the first book more or less written (about 120k words), but I'm looking …
Jaonah’s infatuation was with a poisonous Flower, not a Gardener, and certainly not a prince.
This book is one that I'm really invested in, but sadly it hasn't gained much traction, so I haven't been focusing on it much. v_v I wold love to change that, though! Title: Say What You Will Genre: Urban Fantasy Romance Tropes: Arranged Marriage, a sort of unusual version of Mafia (but it's still v…
“Bear in mind who trained you to be the apt deceiver and manipulator that you are, Alfonse; of all targets you could choose to exercise those talents, I will not be one.”
Welcome! The speculative genres can always use more content, the way I see it. ^^ My novel updated today, if you're into Urban Fantasy with Romance elements and lots of gods. [image]
