In addition to the suggestions above...include a function where no one can copy the text of the story (just like Tapas and Wattpad do). This is a huge bonus for all writers because most of us tend to worry about plagiarism.

If a comic dominated website managed to get a Novel category, then there's every chance of it having a poetry genre added to it. I almost walked away from joining Tapas because there were only a few Novels out there compared to Comics so, I too hope that others don't feel that same discouragement.
Yeah, to be honest, I was actually surprised that poetry wasn't a big deal here despite there being a "Novel" category. Then again, this is more of a comic website.
