Is Poetry on Tapas a Thing?

I'm new to Tapas and while I do know that this site also welcomes Novels, I would like to know if poetry is recognized on here. In addition, are poetry comics also a thing?

It’s a thing in Novels and they do pretty well. On Comics, no. You could indeed be the first one to make a Comic about poetry.

I'm glad to hear that. I could be the first one to make a comic about poetry if...I knew how to draw. I actually thought Tapas would have those, to be honest.

Yeah, to be honest, I was actually surprised that poetry wasn't a big deal here despite there being a "Novel" category. Then again, this is more of a comic website.

I know of a few people on site that were doing poetry prior to the novel feature but I'd definitely be excited if more people were giving it a try. Plus, even though Tapas is still more dominated by comics I hope it doesn't discourage people from trying to add to the catalog of writers.

If a comic dominated website managed to get a Novel category, then there's every chance of it having a poetry genre added to it. I almost walked away from joining Tapas because there were only a few Novels out there compared to Comics so, I too hope that others don't feel that same discouragement.
