Before you guys consider this, please read Spike Trotman's thread in regards to this: https://twitter.com/Iron_Spike/status/895142811917529088 Respect yourself, and your work, guys.

they're pretty different from Hiveworks, at least from what i know. HW pays their creators from advertising, but it doesn't seem like there's an actual sense of community in HW. with Spiderforest, i believe they're a lot more community oriented, but don't pay their creators. i was rejected by Spider…

YASSSS DAT COUNT BLECK~ <3 lovin it (and the rest of your stuff!)

something i think worth mentioning is why webcomics ARE successful. anyone familiar with the blunders of the big 2 (Marvel and DC) knows that they have a horrible habit of not producing quality content for marginalized groups. yes, we have a black Spiderman and a female Thor, but why should they be …

i do videos pretty frequently on my channel here! here's one of my videos~

GIANT WORD BALLOONS.... i feel like a lot of the time, people use massive word balloons to hide something/take up the rest of the panel to keep from having to draw an environment. just draw it! learn to do environments! it'll help you out in the long run so much. i know it's hard and intimidating.

i think that categorizing them would be a great idea! thanks for taking it into consideration.

literally no one is telling you to leave? we're just voicing our thoughts on the subject.

check out Habitica! it's a fun way to keep up with productivity. you can make goals and reward yourself for having good habits, like drinking regularly or stopping to stretch.

i was wondering what folks' thoughts were on series that are galleries? like people just posting their art instead of actual comics. i personally feel like those should be limited to gallery/portfolio sites like tumblr or DA and not a site meant for stories and comics. but what do you guys think?

i think it's helpful for them to see when the next episode is coming out. yeah, they get notifications if they subscribe, but they can get excited and see "ooh the next one is coming out in two days, i can't wait to see!" i think it also helps in cases where updates are sporadic and random and dont …

traumatic things like breakups will do this to you. i had a brief pause in my comic for two weeks after a bridge-burning with an abusive friend made me feel horrible. but a way i motivate myself when i feel like shit and can't produce art is well... no one is going to be able to tell my story except…

Happy Halloween from Forgotten Roots! Here's Zephiro and Aisha dressed up as Braviary and Mandibuzz gijinkas! [image]

Today, this lovely Halloween, marks the birth of my second comic, What's Under My Bed! The first five pages are available for reading. Ivy is a normal law student, living in a not-so-normal world where monsters live among humans. She's never had close encounters with monsters, but she's about to h…

I'd love a review for my comic, Forgotten Roots! There's a ton of content to read, over 135 pages and it's been going on for about 2 years.

Q_Q am i the only one who genuinely enjoys drawing backgrounds? if you have a hard time drawing backgrounds, check out Google Sketchup and use Manga Studio 5's perspective tools. makes life 10000% easier. honestly, the hardest part for me is drafting up the perfect page composition. i think that's…

i'm half-and-half! i pretty much spent most of my grade school life just doing my own thing, but then i went to SCAD and majored in comics and i really feel like their sequential art program really helped refine my techniques in comic making.
