I'm certainly open to this kind of exchange. It might be a bit problematic though with an ongoing story comic like mine. Even if I just drop someone in a crowd scene, it involves a lengthy lead time to arrange. Right now, all my art is done for posts up through the end of April. Indeed, the pri…

Hello!! To all you comic artists, whether you are a penciler, inker, colorist, work digitally or in watercolor, if you are a traditional American Style Comic artist, a Manga guy or one of the numerous Korean artists here on Tapastic, I'm looking for artists to help create the next chapter of Sunda…

A big thanks to all my readers, subscribers and commentors!! This evening we reached 1000 subscribers on Sunday-Superheroes. For all of you who aren't reading yet, here's my invitation to come and try it out. It's free, so there is not good reason not to. Explore a new world of heroes, heroines…

I made it!! This evening it became official. Sunday-Superheroes hit 1000 subscribers!! So, how soon? For me it's been since March 2013. [image]

Don't be afraid to promote your comic. The comic creator who doesn't p[romote is the comic creator with no readers. Sorry, all of you who want to be humble, it doesn't work. You need to tell people about your comic. If you aren't a featured comic, you're relying on luck for people to stumble upo…

May be time to spread them out. Do the next one at 100 or something.

I usually give the first page of the chapter the chapter name. For the other pages, I just take an element of what happens on the page as a title, or a snippet of dialog. In the end, I'm not sure the title matters that much and it could just be part/page 5.

Sorry, the correct link is actually misspelled :/ Correct link is http://tapastic.com/series/Helenistic-Mysteries Yeah, the one page at a time is pretty much the webcomic standard if you look around the web at the vast majority of comics. Sometimes creators might do a double long page to complete…

I'd have to go with: Demon Hunter Kain House of LSD Codename Bathala I know, this is only three, but several that I sub to haven't updated for several weeks (at least not on Tapastic).

From a strictly reading perspective? I prefer a single comic page per "episode". I think it reads better. If you want to upload multiple pages at once to hit a particular break point, there is no reason you can't still make each page its own episode. My own comics, Sunday-Superheroes and Hellen…

I work on full comics, and I'm a writer. How long? Usually two to four weeks letting the ideas percolate, about the same length of time writing the actual script. Then? I have to arrange funding, hire an art team approve pages get everything penciled, inked, colored. I do the lettering and form…

I'll just go out a pick a random comic and take a look at it. If the art and/or story grabs me, I'll binge read it. If I want more, I'll sub. I've had a few other creators message me about their comics, and I'll always give them at least a quick look, and read more if it looks interesting (I sta…

I don't read the joke a day comics, but they are very popular on Tapastic, most of their biggest titles being joke a day webcomics and those are easier for them to promote as new readers can jump in at any point. I publish two more serious comics, on ongoing superhero story and a Greek myth webcom…

Ah... If only I knew how to draw. There's a reason I hire artists to draw my comic...

Stalker, from my Sunday-Superheroes comic, hasn't changed dramatically, but the different artists have put different spins on her. Original 1991 design by me [image] A few years later by Angel Medina at a Convention [image] Later that year by "The Dark One" [image] Sailor Stalker in 1995 [imag…

Greko uses a heavier, stiffer cover stock then Ka-Blam, abd the covers are much glossier. I find the Ka-Blam interior pages to be of similar stock, but the Ka-Blam colors are a bit more vibrant. From my small sample size of people who have seen the same exact book from both printers at my tables, …

Way back when Tapastic was young (and they didn't have forums or comments or the ability to schedule new pages) I saw a post on LinkedIn from them looking for creators. Chang Kim (the CEO) emailed me back and invited Sunday-Superheroes to move over to Tapastic under their new PPP. I've been publis…

I only need two more binge readers to take me over the top and reach half a million page reads!! Please come by, READ!! LIKE!! SUBSCRIBE!! 159 pages reads to go!! [image]

Hi guys I'm a creator with two webcomics on Tapastic, Sunday-Superheroes and Hellenistic Mysteries, and have recently joined the support program. This question is for those of you who've been in it for a few months and have started having supporters reaching your higher reward tiers (i.e. more t…

A lot of readers binge read in any case, coming back only every few weeks, even months and reading several pages at once. At that point, it almost becomes a print comic from a reading perspective.

I think my writing has probably been sort of webcomic oriented. I use a dense panel count, which makes the scenes fewer pages, and try to end each scene at the end of a page. So with most scenes being one or two pages long, many of my episodes are complete scenes or complete a scene.

This matches my process pretty well too. I work out a general outline, then script, although I do do the script page by page. After I have that basic script, I set it aside for at least a week. Before coming back to it and doing a rewrite. Repeat until you're happy with the pacing. One big dif…

Tapastic just approved my Support Program!! Just need 52 cents per subscriber to fund the next chapter of Sunday-Superheroes.

Less then 500 to go!! Help get Sunday-Superheroes over that 500,000 page reads mark!!

Every little bit helps. I have a few more shows to sell books at, plus I'll have the graphic novels printed by the kickstarter to sell at the next show. I plan a Kickstarter for February, specifically to fund the next chapter, but supporters would be a big help, either funding the chapter outright…

I had my own site when I started. I came over to Tapastic because they had built in features I wanted to incorporate into my site. My own site is still up. I frame in the Tapastic pages so that no matter where a reader comes from they are hitting the Tapastic pages. It helps me because it gives …

Lately I've been using GrekoPrinting.com. They've been better than Ka-Blam, who I've also used. Much more responsive customer service, good quality books, and a fast turn around, especially compared to Ka-Blam, who are very slow, especially during convention season. My 20 page books have been $2.…

It doesn't matter what style or genre you choose. There will be people who love it and people who hate it. If you are a fan, it's a sure bet you won't be the only one. I do mainstream style super-hero comics, the most popular comics in the US, and guess what? Lots of people hate super-hero comic…

My problem, as I don't draw my own comic, is that I have to pay artists. At some point my comic has to take care of its own feeding or I can't afford to pay for it anymore. I've done 120 pages out of my own pocket (91 of which I've posted). Anything beyond that has to be paid for by readers, whet…
