Have been running since 2016 and will likely take 2-3 more years to finish. But at any point I might be able to increase the pace so who knows...

Going to sub and check it out later! Here is mine if you are still looking for:

The Popular feed is algo-based, the home page is mostly staff picked if I get this right. You can noticed that these dominating genres also have heavily advertised titles (sometimes even in Twitter or other media) with higher quality marketing material, so it is really a biz move. All of this is fin…

It is funny really, I pick the smoothest side of the paper, the texture is really subtle, but the scanner throws some light that highlight it. To demonstrate how the technique with geometric mean works (usually on lighter colors), see the pics: Before: [image] After: [image] Results on this pa…

One problem I anticipate is that I plan to start using bigger sheets (A3 size) which need to be scanned in parts, so I don't know if I will manage to scan them in different orientations.

I used this but I found that instead of making opacity 50% I got better results by setting the layer blend mode to "Geometric Mean" It does help with the exaggerated texture so that I can do more color adjustment. I think there is room for improving the actual watercolors (technique + materials), …

Brother MFC, it's a big multi-functional printer, flatbed scanner.

Merci, j'ai pas besoin de translator

I am researching a bit and realized the quality of my watercolor could be a cause too. I also have issues with the watercolor layers covering the inks which always bothered me. This guide has some very important considerations on light-fastness, opacity, etc I already have a tube of prussian …

Hunger is the best seasoning. Bookist: "Knowledge is really the best food and that's why I share all these books, come pick one... Aside from that, when I was part of this insane cult we once got a bag of some fruit as an offering. We were not supposed to eat them, but I was hungry and it looked j…

Does it help you swim faster too?

Going to check out! Here is mine!

One other way of doing, in case of necessary complex explanation is to weave the story so some character slowly figures it out by investigating. That sort of leads the reader into figuring things themselves so it's far more memorable than just giving it away. Again, this means a lot of planning and …

That was my intention on my first post too! Looks like most authors responding here prefer not to do much explanation. I have seen a lot of stories that go into the endless explanation dialogue. It bores me quickly, honestly. Not only I avoid explaining and treat my readers as the smart fellows…

That wouldn't be really an explanation, more of a "Previously" which can be really helpful indeed! Readers shouldn't need to re-read to remember what you published years ago.

Nice! I am very excited with option 1, really!

An anthro like that would look out of place in my comics... I have 2 ideas: There will be a group of outcast kids. I am considering having them using masks or other accessories to reference the characters from a child play inspired by the Town Musicians of Bremen (Os Saltimbancos in Portuguese, I…

I did it a while ago on stories (6 weeks ago maybe?), so it might have been impossible for you to see it.
