it's possible webtoon promoed them on the app/desktop(just the luck of the draw really) or they had a following from some other comic or social media that brought them followers. hard to say without any links to stuff

There's this challenge on Tumblr called the don't get your picture flagged challenge. Apparently it's a really hard challenge. All joking aside there are some art challenges on this forum to participate like the pick an outfit challenge and the three different styles challenge.
