As of today I don't really like NFT, basically because they don't have utility other than speculation. At the end what you "own" is in most cases just a link to an image which anyone has free access to. I understand why people are interested in them, they seem an easy way to monetize art, which does…
This is mine [image]
Finally, the last page of the chapter [image]
This one is a bit long: “Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very…
Basically it adds unlimited animation frames, more 3D options and better support for publishing. For drawing itself you don't need the EX version at all.
No, EX is the 200$ version. Which may hurt the pocket but I don't find it expensive taking into account it's a single payment and once you own it you can keep updating it.
I have been using Clip Studio Paint Pro for a bit more than a year and recently upgraded to EX in the last sale they did, mostly because I'm also interested in doing animations. I would say Clip Studio Pro is more than enough, the only thing I don't like about the Pro version is that you can't crop …
Recently updated my cover [image]
Hi, I'd like to join if this is still open. It'd be the first time I participate in something like this.
This is the one I'm using now. It's an old thumbnail but I started using it again until I make a better one [image]
You can take a look at Adrew Loomis's book Figure Drawing for All it's Worth.

I don't really care about names, but I think it's good to have some coherency: like if the story takes place in some real non-English country, it would be weird if all characters have English names. It's not something that would bother me, but it would be a nice detail if characters had regional nam…
It takes me around 4-5 days to draw a page, but often I spend some time with other things like concept art, so it can take me up to 2 weeks to finish a page. I try to upload weekly, but it's quite common that I end up doing it every two weeks.
Initially in my comic each episode was, on average, around 4-5 panels, I was doing it in vertical format so each update was a whole scene/gag with variable length. Now I'm structuring it in pages and update one page or two at a time (with 3 to 6 panels per page). Then I'm also organizing it in chapt…
I like chibis but I rarely use them. I may use them for a comedy effect and most of all becasue they are simpler to draw. [image]
Few minutes ago I was thinking that there should be a post with no links allowed. You read my mind, Link joke included. It hasn't been published yet, but this is the best panel I draw this week: [image] .
This is a panel from the firsts chapters of my comic, it's quite simple but I really like how it turned out: [image]
I have the impressive number of 20 subs, but this it not to celebrate that, this is for my first sub (the 20th) after coming back from a long hiatus. (Yes, just an excuse to spam my link...) Basically this is a comedy that now is evolving into an action/adventure comic, while keeping the humor. …
I think new people could still use the Intro/Feedback/Shoutout category to introduce themselves and their works, and similarly for sharing achievements. But it's true that then some creavtie promotion ideas could be overseen. Overall I don't dislike the idea of a Promotion category but it might …
Thank you all for your responses and votes! I will keep the poll open for some more days but I guess the results won't change much. For now the preference is to not use animations, and you gave some valid points against them: This was actually the first thing that came to my mind and made me w…
Hi everyone, I recently created a cover for my comic and decided to make an animated one. At first I liked it but then I though it can be a bit annoying. I know they don't work for mobile users so that kind of limits the possible annoyance. [image] I don't dislike the animation itself but I'm quest…
Release what you have. You can always improve, and that's the problem. You can spend a lot of time improving what you have but at some point you have to stop and consider that your work is good enough, otherwise you will never release anything because you can always do it better. Release your work…
It is not really necessary to upscale when drawing, but if you use a larger canvas and you scale down the image then errors will also be scaled down so at the end it makes it easier to work on the small details. Usually I work with a canvas 2 or 3 times larger than the published size. Maybe you co…
