How I do come up with my story ideas?
I steal them 
Just finish the damn rewrite (the good news is I've got a 30+ SHORT chapters lined up that hopefully won't need too much work) and find at least 1 reader

Not sure if it counts, but my novel has more than a 1000 typo's! That's a kind of milestone too, isn't it?
