I like this idea! Here's mine. No Elle is a non-romance story disguised as a romance story. The main character thinks she's more mature than she is and enters into a relationship with an older man. Things...don't play out the way she'd expected. It has a good bit of humor thrown in, including a …

Here's my most recent ones: [image][image] Only five chapters left of my story!

Very cute! I just followed you on instagram for more.

A doodle to go along with a scene from the latest chapter of my novel. [image]

Here's mine! Current sub count is at 6. It's a story that's not really a romance, but it is styled as a romance. There will be a twist coming at the end, and there are some odd bits of humor thrown in here and there. I can't wait for chapter 15, which was my favorite to write. It will be out later …

I drew something from behind the scenes in ch. 6. SPOILERS for the results of the Shrimp Showdown. [image] The side characters are all my favorites.

Here's another to go along with today's update (ch 5). [image]

I'm usually in the round hands club. Here's some hands I doodled yesterday. [image]

It's not an ongoing comic, but I'm Ace and "came out" with a series of minicomics!

Besides writing, I draw, bake a mean batch of cookies, and make handmade greeting cards. I also ride horses, but I guess that's more of a hobby than a talent.

I've been thinking about updating my cover to have characters on it, and I'd be interested to see if I notice a boost in interest like you did!

Your drawing is lovely!

Sometimes I wonder how things would have turned out as a comic, too. I'd originally envisioned my story as a comic, but I think in the end I did it more justice as a novel.

I've enjoyed the last couple of years as a reader rather than sharing anything as a creator. This month I decided to post my story, No Elle, here on Tapas. But, as someone who also draws, I've been sketching my novella characters and doodling little minicomics, etc. Which got me to thinking....Tapas…

I recently reworked an old story of mine too, and I think adding character flaws really helped make more sense of the plot. The original version of the main character was meek and sweet and BORING. The events of the story just HAPPENED to her. It was awkward. It didn't make a whole lot of sense. …

Just started posting mine recently! Only two chapters up so far, but the rest are all scheduled. It'll update biweekly until it's all up. It's an odd story, my first completed major writing project. There are some humorous bits here and there. It's going to start out kind of romance trope-y, but the…

You can check out mine! A modern story, no fantasy elements...just human drama. I'll be posting biweekly until it's complete. Nothing NSFW other than some minor swearing here and there. It's going to start off kind of romance trope-y, but there will eventually be a twist. There's some pretty solid h…

Do you do your sketching in actual pencil? If you're not already doing it, it saves a lot of time to draw in non-photo blue and then scan your inked lineart as a black and white image. If you're already doing that, I personally mess around with contrast, levels, and Filter > Noise > Dust & Scratc…

I just posted the first chapter of my novel No Elle today! I've never written or shared anything like it before, so I'm very nervous! All the chapters are scheduled.

Your comic is very cute! Can't wait to see more. smile If you have time, please check out mine!

Hello, my name is Amanda! But here I go by Pook or Pook Nero. I live in New Jersey and I'm currently unemployed (boo!) But I used to be a horseback riding instructor for young children! I had a horse of my own, but I had to put her down this November. Which, on top of other reasons, led to me qui…

Whats seems to work best for me is to sketch digitally (It's so much easier to make changes that way!). I use a tablet, it's a cheap Medion but it gets the job done. Right now, I like to do the sketch in Manga Studio, then I'll set up the panels, text, and word bubbles there before exporting it to P…

I just started my comic yesterday! It's called Iten and Louise, and it's going to be a silly journey story in a fantasy setting.
