Welcome back! I've recently returned to Tapas as well and it's great to see the community is still thriving. Here's my novel, City of Evil, which features crime with a dash of LGBT+ romance

Twenty-seven year old Rook Zoomer discovers their favourite bar is a front for criminal activity. The next day, they get forced into doing crime to pay off a friend’s debt. Things only get worse after meeting their ex at a handoff. Oh and a superhero eventually shows up.

Maybe it was because they’d made friends with the only server early on, or maybe it was the oddly hot bartender. https://tapas.io/episode/2000148

Agreed! BL as a genre isn't free of criticism and OH BOY there are many things I'd like to criticize about it. At the end of the day, I think we all just want well written comics and I'd def like to see less objectification and skeevy plotlines in BL (and heck, in all genres) as I'm sure we all do :…

Reading all the responses, I find it really interesting to see the various opinions to BL on this forum. I'm pretty surprised by some of the comments re: seeing rape/abuse/unsavoury things in BL when, in my opinion, they're prevalent in other genres as well. I mean, "overly controlling and abusive g…

Setting the comic in a different country and absolutely no effort is put into research. You end up with extremely stereotypical depictions of foreign countries that are... rather painful to read. Also, characters inserting random Japanese words into their sentences when none of the characters are J…

My main resolution is to actually finish a comic. So far, I have 2 incomplete comics on Tapastic that have been inactive for a couple of months. I don't plan on attempting to revive them as I doubt I'd be able to keep a schedule and I've already lost most of the script and plot details. So this year…

Hope you don't mind me asking but how was the quality of your products? I've used taobao before and I was really disappointed with the quality of my charms (they were supposed to be clear but they gave me white acrylic instead) and I'm wondering if it was just bad luck or a widespread issue.

Tbh I'm really surprised at the amount of people who dislike Deviantart. From my experience with it, it's a fairly good site and everyone I've interacted with were quite pleasant. I also really like the uploading and watermarking systems that it has and I find that if you watermark, there's an extre…

I don't think it's bad to have more than one series, even if you end up dropping some. It's a great way to experiment with different types of art styles or storytelling methods. And sometimes it's nice to go back and work on a dropped comic if you get tired of your main one. For me, it prevents burn…

I draw at 8.5" by 11" at 600 dpi. Though I do plan on changing the size soon as the file causes my computer to lag quite a lot and resizing causes the images to be blurry.
