For me, the problem here is why would someone expect to only receive attention? Give it to other people, engage, communicate. Treating others like attention dispensers will get someone who behaves like this nowhere.

I think about it this way: If everyone stopped creating because someone is 'better' (which is also kinda subjective) eventually only 1 best thing will remain... boy, what a boring world would that be ;p So yeah, just keep doing what you love and don't bring yourself down with those doubts ^^

it's impossible to trash my works more than i trash them in my head, so i never feel bad about criticism :,D however, if some person actually gives me a valuable\constructive commentary on how to improve ...boy, i'll stalk them to and try to suck out every bit of wisdom they have to offer
