10 Webcomic Anniversary

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of when I uploaded the first episode of Nate the Robot (my main webcomic).

I wish I had something exciting to show for it, but I don't.

When I started, my oldest had just started school and my youngest was a toddler. Finding time to re-learn how to draw, learn digital art, try and figure out how to make a website, and just get ideas was really rough. My kids are 17 (nearly) and 14 now and while time is easier to find, energy isn't. My biggest claim to make is that despite the lack of success, I'm too stubborn to give up =).

What's your biggest comic milestone?

Congrats. I'm just barely in my 20s, but my biggest milestone so far is selling a mini version of my manga at local art shows.
At the time, which was almost a year ago, my art style was still developing, but I had to rush so I could print out copies and present my work. That experience has helped me become a bit of a professional. Now, I just want to take my time, take a break from art events, and focus on making the first chapter, the right way (56 pages)!
I've been working on this series called Bleakville for over 7 years. I'm glad I never quit. I'm more of a painter and I draw more realistic looking artwork. While drawing manga is fun, it's not really my art style, but I found a niche.

We have made enough for 2 books (working on converting) and we have made all the comics to the end of the second chapter.

I'm excited as we have 3 more years worth I think? maybe 2.
