Hi,
It makes me happy, that I have already gathered 25 subs. An were not even halfway through what could be described as the setup.

To celebrate this small step, I've decided to do multiple things; one of which is asking for feedback and questions. They can be about anything, my work process, lore, favorite colour, games. I'll answer the miscelanious ones directly and the ToTC ones next monday in a extra chapter. Further things will be annouced there. :supicious_stache:

Well then lets the questioning begin. The earlier you ask, the better I can prepare. I might draw some things especially for the lore update.

For those who stumbled upon this thread on accident you can find my comic in my description

Congrats, Duke! You deserve much more.

Will questions about the lore and universe be answered? Or are you gonna reveal details only with your story?

Some lore can obviously not be answered directly. Those are going to revealed slowly throught 4. Prince and later stories.

But there are lore bits, that are going to get infodumped anyway or are so random that I wont be spoiling anything. So I will use this chance to flesh out the world upfront. Especially basic things that are already known to the in universe commoners.

I'll be looking forward to the questions.

Congrats! I really love your art! I wish I could draw that good!

Congrats duke, remember seeing a post about you and How world building works in your world.

:tapa_pop:
Do you still know which tread it was? I'm just wondering, because there are so many threads I've talked about various thingies in my world.

Think it involved if someone should start their first webcomic as their magnum opus. You said your first go would consist of short stories In the same universe that will lead into a project that was your magnum opus or along those lines.

Hey there, DukeOfOool!

If you don't mind, I actually want to ask you this question:

What inspired you on making ToTC? And why did you had the urge to make you draw it?

I remember you answered one of my comments about you having dreams, and I just wanted to know a little more about your thinking, as I enjoy knowing what's behind some creator's thoughts.

Well that's a good one, a classic, but a good one.

Were gonna have to wait for next monday though. hehehehehe :writing_hand:

I have a few questions that I won't mind if can't be answered.

  • Next chapters: ¿will they follow the same characters (princes, Outsider, etc) or will they just appear as secondary characters or not at all? Will they be set in the same period of time? By the name of the story I'm guessing they will be set in the same London at least.

  • What are your favourite novels/comic books/videogames/movies? You can extend yourself whatever you want.

  • Artwise, are you planning on experimenting with new styles? Trying colours? Maybe some collaboration (either by letting another write your story or drawing it)?

So here I go:

  • Regarding the next chapters, I can say that the sunday updates will only work on finishing 4. Prince, which will follow the same characters. I still have to figure out which storyline I'll follow after 4. Prince. I'll add a more detailed plan on the monday chapter.

  • I'll save the media that direcly inspired ToTC for @KillianRain's question, but here are some other miscelanious media:
-Some games I like are Warhammer -Total War, Oxigen Not Included and Civ 5 you see really like turnbased strategy games and management simulators. But I currently don't game at all, because it's a tremendeous waste of time. WTW and Civ5 have garbage loading times. I litteraly developed a sort of chess-boxing where I played half an hour and then did some exersise while waiting for the AI to finish.
-Then novels; two novels I really like are The Judge and His Hangman by Dürrenmatt and Kafka's The Methamorphosis. Both rather weird and confusing books, but they helped me build my humor, er what? Yes, I especially enjoyed the grotesque and absurdly over the top scenes.
-Nearly all comics I've read somehow inspired ToTC, but then there's also Golloseum and Ride on King. Two so stupidly genious manga by Baba Yasushi.
-Redarging movies; I like all gibli movies, especially nausicaä valley of the wind and princes mononoke.

  • Yes, I'm definitely planning on extending my artistic prowess, but I'll first finish 4. Prince with a somewhat consistent style. You'll see colours are comming. ;D
And regarding collaboration, there are some stories that haven't been solidified yet, so I may open for collaborations later. I'll definitely sleep over it.

phew, that was a lot to write.

Noted! I'll combine this with the previous questions and post it on monday.
