Title: Inheritance

Synopsis:
Eory’s family line is corrupt. Going all the way back, his family line of Arroza has been filled detestable and evil people who not only ruled over fairies, but then invaded the human kingdom of Maribel and ruled over them, too. The line of Arroza was responsible for the deaths and abuse of everyday citizens who had done nothing to deserve it.
Sick and tired of their evil reign, an ordinary human incited a revolt and overthrew the line of Arroza—beheading everyone in their family but for their youngest son, Eory. A waif who lived among the humans and was a close friend of the human who overthrew the fairies begged for Eory’s life and made a deal with the new human king to let him live so long as she raised him in captivity where he could harm no one else.
Eory lived 12 of his eighteen years in captivity and finally and now has a chance at freedom when his caretaker, Kori, informs him that the usurper king who beheaded his family is willing to give him a chance at freedom if he can behave flawlessly for one night at the ball.

By twelve, I can't take it anymore. I find it harder and harder to call Sphinx and Mr. Optim to save me when the Scary Man appears.
So I close the door…
It works… and I forgot all about them.

I will definitely be entering my novel this time around! If you guys would like to read it so far, I would love to get your feedback on it. ALL OF IT!!! It's a book about some chosen ones living in a town like Night Vale that's lost to time and all the weird (but TOTALLY NORMAL) stuff that goes down. These "Chosen Ones" will become amateur sleuths to get to the bottom of all the supernatural mysteries going on in this town. Here's the proper summary for it:
Kassandra Grimm, private eye (or a femme fatale who WANTS to be a private eye), runs the most well-known (and ONLY) radio shows on Chad's time waves. By...early eve, she enthralls people with her 'thrilling' conspiracies, fanfictions, and head canons about death in their small town, and by night, she Beautiful Nightmare Scrypes her mom, the Morrigan goddess of the Fields of Punishment in the Underworld. Oh? Did I forget to mention she's a grim reaper? Yep, her rating on Reapr is 2.8. It's a miracle she still has the job at all.
Everything is TOTALLY NORMAL...until a halfling walks into her radio studio to Noire #1 and cries very loudly until Kassandra agrees to help her solve the problem. But even the author doesn't know what that might be.
Welcome to Easton. It's TOTALLY NORMAL for the plot to be non-existent.
It includes gay characters, lesbian characters, pansexual characters, and an ace main character. Also featured a purple cat with three eyes that changes in size and no one considers to be a PROPER eldritch horror as well as a mimic...with a thousand legs...yep.
