1. I write more than I draw. I've also dabbled in tabletop game design.
2. I'm the second oldest of four kids
3. I have a dot birth mark on my nose (visible on my tapastic main site profile pic).
4. I am American, but I was born in another country (but it was an embassy hospital or something, so I was still born as an American citizen, rather than having to immigrate.)
5. I've been to four countries in Europe and three in Asia, but I've never been to my neighbors Canada or Mexico (though I've seen both from this side of the border)

If I could, I'd just plug into a wall or absorb solar energy and never have to sleep. I'd have so much more time to get stuff done!

I can't smell, unless the odor is absurdly strong and foul.

I can't smell things at all usually. Except for food. I can smell food cooking from across the house.

Even if I'm happy, I always look really angry.

Sometimes people think I'm angry or annoyed, even when I'm happy, too. I think it has to do with eye brows.

I'm not a fan of horror but for some reason like H.P Lovecraft's stuff

I can relate. I think it's because Lovecraft has so much cool, intriguing mythology, and not just crazy guys with machetes or whatever.

1. I really like playing minecraft, its hella relaxing for me n all that jazz. Plus I have like, a million of the little blind box figurines.

2. Whenever I'm messaging friends its literally all in caps. We just send messages to each other like that now..

3. I went to the hospital for almost a whole month when I was in 6th grade because I was vomiting blood. Painful stuff by the way, would not recommend

4. I have a really active imagination which leads me to being able to see things that aren't there. Most of them are characters of mine that come out depending on the type of comfort I need for the day. If they're not around then it causes my anxiety to spike up??? It... really sucks..

5. I once got heatstroke when I was 13 in the mall and ended up throwing up in the food court before I could reach the bathroom in time. Two guys were nice enough to help me up and clean up the mess while a couple of mall cops then took me aside and started asking me questions. One guy was probably new or something because he asked me for my ID and I told him I was only 13 and that my family was in Game Stop if they needed to talk to my mom.

I almost died at birth as well, though in my situation, it was because lightning struck the hospital.

Here are mine XD
1. We're identical twins! Our parents did not expect that until we were born. They had to buy 2 of everything after that.
2. These are all the digits I (Jes) know of pi so far: 3.141592653589793238462643383 (yet we never memorized our own phone numbers)
3. We're both 14 years older than our youngest sister.
4. My parents thought I had a boyfriend because I nick-named my gal pal a boy's name as an inside joke on my phone contacts.
5. A professor in college thought my sister and I were the same person for an entire quarter.

My parents thought they were having one baby. My mom actually miscarried and when she went to the doctor they found out there were still 2 more babies. The other one was blocking us on the first ultrasound. According to my mom, my dad passed out when he heard they were having twins.

2- I met my husband Jeramy Hobz and co-creator of Oops, in art college at AiFL where we both graduated with BS degrees in animation (pun slightly intended lol). My mom was so scared of me having a boyfriend in college that she threatened to stop paying for my schooling. (the threat was empty and it didn't stop me anyways #lovewins) We laugh about it now.

3- When I was 6 yrs old, I won a child's beauty pageant, when my mom entered a photo of me covered in dirt, making mud pies and petting a frog I had just caught. It was pretty crazy. As the winner I had to ride in a fancy float in a giant parade and wave to the crowd. THEY CLEANED ME UP AND PUT ME IN A DRESS! ;n; The worst thing EVER at that age for me lol

4- Aquabats and Ninja Sex Party are two bands that always make me happy, no matter what! During my hardest time (living paycheck to paycheck / major stress from 06-09) I would watch 1 episode a day of The Aquabats Super Show Season 1 (only 13 episodes) for those 3 years. It kept me sane.... or perhaps made me insane. :crazed grin: Later I got to meet the band members during their 20th anniversary tour and gave them a printed copy of my fan comic. Best day ever

The signed copy of my fan comic as well as a sign NPS CD collection hangs on my wall of inspiration above my desk.

5- I don't know everything (GASP!) ... fine that was a bit of a cop out fifth fact... Um, my husband, Jeramy Hobz, is the one that got me into making comics when he decided to help make Oops. It was original going to be an Animanics style slap stick animated series released on youtube. However, his passion for making dramatic slice of life comics lead Oops to completely changing into our own version of Bone, an epic fantasy adventure series. ... Also, if was have a son one day, we kind of want to name him Calvin N. Hobz. (out of principle, we just have to) lol

1. I used to drink 15 cups of coffee. Today I'm down on 3.

2. I'm a heavy hard sleeper. I wake up to NOTHING. (My brother once got into my apartment, rang the doorbell and slammed the doors and I had no idea he'd even visited me until my friend told me so).

3. Comics have always been a part of my life. It wasn't until I was 21 that I realised I could actually MAKE MY OWN. That was 8 years ago.

4. I'm pretty much allergic to everything you couldn't imagine. Like ALL cats *sobs *. I'm also allergic to nuts (like hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds) and most fruits and vegetables. (That's what pollen allergy does to me).

5. Because of Jurassic Park, I wanted to be an archaeologist. And no, not a palaeontologist. I've no idea why really, but history has always fascinated me.

I got part of one eye done before the burning set in. I tried to straighten the line anyway but ended up screaming. It hurt, but the thought that I had just blinded myself made me absolutely hysterical. Nobody was in the house at the time, so all I could do was chant "shit shit shit" while I ran around the house thinking about how stupid that was with a cold lump of toilet paper on my eye until the burning went away. Then I rubbed my eyelid raw trying to get the sharpie off before my dad got home. My eye ended up looking like a swollen anus but at least I didn't have to tell him the truth. "I got some soap in my eye."

Believe it or not, there's multiple incidents of me doing stupid things to my eyes. When I was six I kept a flashlight in my bedroom so I could stare at it. I thought I could use the poor eyesight excuse at school and force my mom to buy me some new glasses I really wanted, while also making it look like I wasn't a faker. And then about five years ago I ripped the cornea in both my eyes by taking off my contacts the wrong way and had to smear steroids on my eyes for a week, which limited my eyesight to the equivalent of looking through a greasy ziploc bag. But at least I could use that excuse at school without being a faker.
