Hello everyone!
From what I've seen, there aren't too many pixel art adventure series. Usually the pixel art style seems to be reserved for video game tributes and gag strips. That's where I come in, I've been writing this series for about a year now, and releasing on Instagram and Facebook. There are 6 episodes, (a prologue and 5 actual chapters) Chapters will be released on starting January on a bi-monthly schedule.
Drop on by and check it out, and if I am indeed wrong about pixel art comics, I welcome any other pixel art series as a reccomendation. In the meantime, my series is definitley in the vein of a battle-shonen, or a retro superhero adventure comic.

This is cool  I love pixel art, so seeing it in comic form is pretty fun

I know right? It's actually way more challenging than I thought when I first started. But it's been super fun.

World Building Wednesday. Something I started on my Instagram, I will carry it over to this thread.
Check out my comic for the actual story, but here I will post "Dragon Sparking Codex" entries.
Today I will be posting the entirety of the "Sparks And How They Work" series a little later on this evening.

'Sup people. I want a little discussion going in this topic so I'm not just talking to an empty room. So here's where I bring up the topic of music! Music is a huuuuge inspiration for me, like it is for so many people. So I thought I'd ask, what kind of music inspires your series? Here is a playlist on Spotify specifically for my series. I've been coming up with my characters for many years before even trying to make it into something, this music has been there for me all this time.

Music without words is best for me :o

I like cute asian style stuff XD If it reminds me of a cute anime or game, it's good for my comic :3

Other comics I go for more atmospheric music... Especially spooky stuff. I don't even need to be drawing a spooky comic, I just like spooky music XD

Cool! I listen to a lot. Mostly Metal, but I do enjoy me some anime music and instrumental music as well. In fact it was chiptune electronic music that gave me the inspiration to make my comic pixel art.

But overall Metal drives my character creation. It's my favorite genre but not the ONLY thing I listen to.

Ah your comic seems cool, I'll have to check it out sometime ^^

Regarding the topic of music, I listen to a bunch of alt rock mostly, both while drawing/generating ideas and just in general~ Sometimes I rarely get ideas directly from song lyrics but more often just the typically high tempo and energy pumps me up to work ^^

Thank you! And...I listen to some alt rock, like Powerman 5000 and Chevelle and Filter, old school alt rock I guess.

Haha I get that! I can't listen to an album I've never heard before when I'm drawing because of that very reason!
