A bit of both! He's good-looking and interested in everyone, so that's part of it, but there are also powers he doesn’t fully understand. A crowd will part for him, without any of the people in it noticing, if he wants to get through it, for example. Or a sense of where to be and when will put him in a place where he gets what he wants.

Did your OCs' relationship start with friendship or butterflies?

Basically, was it a love-at-first sight/attraction based whirlwind romance or more slow burn? Did they get to know each other before they fell in love?

Chili and Texas are a combination. They both definitely thought the other was cute when they first met, but they just became friends and are still friends atm, despite Chili's extremely overt flirting.

Chili is a very affectionate person who will go out of his way to give hugs and kisses. Texas on the other hand, while also being pretty affectionate, prefers to show affection by cooking for people and babying/pampering them.

She is an interesting combination of extreme brattiness, and oddly motherly habits at the same time.

What is your OC's go-to method for cheering up someone they like?

Texas would probably sneak up behind Chili and hug him like a giant teddy bear, refusing to let go. Chili's is similar, but revolves around sneaking up behind Texas and snatching her up off the floor. It scares the life out of her every time, but afterwards she'll laugh.

Which of your OCs is most likely to have already picked names for their (future) children?

Oddly enough, despite really wanting to get married and have kids, Alicia has not decided what she would name them, though she thought about it occasionally in her teens. The only thing she knows for sure is that her first born son has to have the name "Maria" somewhere in his name in honor of her father, Jose Maria.

Neither Mev or Ian are much in the way of planners. They actually don’t even have a named picked after their kid is born (far distant future in the comic) Like I think they actually wait a whole week after.

Gaius and Hikari already had names picked out, and were planning on having kids. Considering the two could now be safely considered enemies, that's not gonna happen.

Texas has no names picked out, because she doesn't plan like that. She does have a mild idea that if she had a daughter with albinism she would name her Snow, after the customized albino 18 inch doll her father bought her as a child. But she doesn't think it's likely that her kid would have albinism since as far as she knows Chili doesn't have the albinism gene. (in fact, he does have that gene, so both their (future) kids have albinism (though for their daughter it's ocular albinism)

Chili however, has names planned. He wants to have two kids and name them Pepper and Dallas.

Texas is the type of person to forget Valentine's day EVERY YEAR and then aggressively play dumb. Chili got Texas a cat...Valentine?

Chili's idea of a date would be taking Texas to her favorite vegan (and organic) bakery "Morgan le Fay" and then to a park or museum. Chili himself is not vegan, and he doesn't like most vegan desserts because he thinks dairy is high-key the best part of 90% of desserts, but he'll tolerate them for Texas's sake.

Texas's idea of a date is a movie night at home because she's lazy lol.

I’m currently writing the scene that is supposed to be the first date between Rose Nives.

Since Rose is unsure of the legal status of gay relationships in her new world and both of them have working class backgrounds, her options are limited. She tries to disguise her date as 2 good friends hanging out. That would entail going to a nickelodeon (historical type of movie theater) to catch a few reels and unwind after work then visit a bookstore together because they initially bonded over their love for the same type of literature.

Outside the confine of the story, the whole movie theater bit is an excuse for me to subtly deliver exposition, and show how they’re growing more comfortable with each other by having them go full mystery science theater 3000 on what they are watching.

oh, does the theater play the news like some theaters used to before the movie?

From what I understand, Nickelodeon usually played a variety of 10 to 15 minute films one after the other, like Ye old television stations. People would pay a nickel to enter and watch a few films. They would have a variety of programs like tv stations.

Yes I do have plans to show the news but also reveal information about the world with how characters react to what is on screen. Because they live in a fantasy world, that will also have an effect on what appears in regular narrative movies.
