I'm in the middle of watching Steins;Gate, Hamefura, and 3D Kanojo. They're all good so far.

I went into Steins;Gate blind. All I heard that it was good and that the recent sequel that came out sucks, so I'm not sure if I'll watch that. It's kinda weird with the time travel stuff and the lead is funny. It does have a few cutesy, hyper, moe characters and "baka hentai!" jokes, but they're not that bad.

Hamefura is new. I only watched the 1st 3 episodes and it's very cute and wholesome. I think Katarina is about to unintentionally create a super harem.

I heard that 3D Kanojo was a must watch, so I checked that out too. It can be pretty cheesy at times, but I like it. I haven't finished it yet, but I have a feeling everyone's gonna get their happy romantic conclusions. It's one of those romances where the main couple is together from the beginning(instead of the annoying will they/won't they) and the story is about them over coming relationship struggles.

Yes, definitely. Gigguk even refers to it as "the final boss of anime". It's just incredibly clever and so well thought out.

I only watched the first like 5 episodes of the 2003 version, and I decided not to continue it because I heard Brotherhood was closer to the manga's story.

I have the entire 2003 series on DVD- started watching it when it first came out on Cartoon Network, but then didnt finish it. So I bought it in 2007 when Amazon was selling DVDs for dirt cheap. I liked both shows- but kinda hated The Conqueror of Shamballa movie.

The last show I watched was Assassin's Pride- it was okay, but nothing super exciting to keep me locked in. I'd probably say the last show that excited me was Food Wars.

My fave shows? Bleach...and Code Geass is 2nd.

The show I have been watching recently is HunterXHunter. It's weird and I still don't really understand what a hunter is.

Some of my favorites are Paranoia Agent, Princess Jellyfish, Moomin, Astroboy (1980). I think I tend to like shonen, comedies, and surreal stuff.

So many of this season's anime got delayed or postponed due to COVID19 interrupting the regular anime workflow, feelzbad. Hopefully, although those animators are struggling with lack of work, are also using the time to take care of themselves and recover from overwork.

This season I'm mostly watching Bakarina (AKA Reborn as a Villainess in an Otome Game and there are only Bad Ends), which I read the original 3 volume NOVEL version for and loved it. I freaking cried over some of the friendships and characters in that novel. Katarina is simply a black hole of love.

The second show I'm watching this season is Tower of God, co-produced by CrunchyRoll and Webtoons. It's a new age of anime where if your webcomic gets big enough, webtoon will work with another anime localisation company and make your webtoon into an anime!!

I just finished the original a few days ago. The remake popped up on my radar a couple weeks ago (I mean I knew of its existence before, but dragged my feet on watching it, which is... my loss), so I started watching the remake and got so hooked I watched the original. I agree, the original is better. The animation was messier but IMO the characters emoted a lot more and it was just... paced a bit better. I still hope really hard that they'll finish the remake though... IMO it gets a lot more interesting when the pieces REALLY start to get moving, and that's after season 1.

I'm still slowly watching through the OG Saint Seiya series.

It's...bad. Real bad. But the enjoyable kind of bad.

Each episode has at least five shocked "NANI?!" in it xD
And the fight scenes...oh...the fight scenes, if you can call them that, are literally just punching matches where each character takes a turn either failing miserably or landing a hit that does almost nothing, or tricks you into thinking it's cool only to find out next episode that the opponent has another trump card.

God I haven't watched anime in years. I'm not exactly caught up with all the popular anime right now but I do know the big ones. But tbh I don't want to read action or shonen rn. I'm in the mood for some shoujo anime but I haven't heard of a super popular/recommended shoujo anime within the recent years. Where'd they go??

Can someone recommend me some shoujo/slice of life anime that's really popular right now? For reference, the last one I watched (and really liked) was the first season of Kimi ni Todoke like 10 years ago. I don't mind if it dips into other genres like fantasy or comedy tbh.

My favorite animes include Dragon Ball Z/Super, Naruto (the original), Death Note, and One Punch Man. It's not that much, although I am looking for recommendations. I'd be interested in any anime with a good amount of action, possibly even some superhero stuff if you want me to go into specifics, although I'd be interested in any other action based anime.

The last anime that I completed watching was Carole and Tuesday. I was wanting another music-themed show after K-On. This was it. The music was quite good if somewhat too focused on acoustic guitar mellow songs. The most entertaining music tracks (and the best character arc) all went to the villain, Angela.
