Anime/manga is erased from existence due to a time travel mishap. What does your comic look like now?

My comic would not exist. I would have never started drawing because I would have never been inspired to try it. So yeah, I would not be here without Manga.

Kri wouldn't have even became a concept in my head. I originally started the workings of the plot when I was like...14 after a lot of Digimon and Shaman King.

My comic wouldn't exist! Majority of my influence came from anime/manga (BLAME! and a few others). I also would be a lot more studious in school and maybe daydream a lot less ahahahhah

Well, Grassblades wouldn't exist. While I might have a drawing-style that looked at least a little similar to it, the comic itself would not be a thing, as it is HEAVILY influenced by East Asian and specifically Japanese storytelling tropes. The whole wandering-swordsman, father-and-child, journey-to-the-west thing? Yeah, without that, Grassblades literally isn't Grassblades.

Gotta admit, i'm not really interested much in anime or manga nowadays, but anime was what made me want to draw as a kid. So i probably wouldn't even be interested in drawing or creating characters in general without it...?

I started reading comics at 5 years old, rupert the bear, my little pony, tin tin THEN I WENT HARDCORE. Nicked my uncles marvel and DC comic at 8. only really saw Anime at 13 then I started reading Manga a year later

bear in mind, this stuff was hard to get a hold of when I was young, all anime was either on late at night (the mature stuff) on the sci-fi channel or extra subscription channels on sky that most couldn't afford, and my biggest comic store was 30 miles away and had limited funds and no internet at home, mum couldn't afford it. BUT despite that I sort it out!

my travels through this media is I've noticed it this: Young age you have beano, dandy (is it archie in the states?) for little kids along with annuals every christmas (total love!) and in the 90's the gritty re-boot was in full swing! so the adults had a lot of comics to read too but teens? there was a limited western choice in my eyes, manga filled that void and continues to do so. I Think without it, I may of stopped reading for good, not sure. I got bored of superhero comics after I was 10

My comic would still look the same because a lot of my influences come from both disney's animation and anime, and the typical "manga style" still comes from disney's work in great measure, as that's where the "big eyes, small mouth" comes from ;w;

So I think a better way to put it would be "imagine disney's work is erased from existence"

Well it wouldn't exist because I was a flaming weeaboo as a young'in. The only reason I started drawing is because my brother got me into the animus/mangos when I was a tiny child.

I wouldn't be making comics at all. I would probably be doing a lot of illustrations and have a couple of illustrated novels on the side, with a dash of fine art.

Having been raised on manga, anime and JRPG, it's bizarre to hear/read about this teenage gap. But since teens spend a lot of time on the internet, I'm hoping webcomics can reach out to that untapped market. Just gotta figure out how.

Manga is what got me into longform comics. Without it, my comic would probably still just be an attempt at a novel.

My art style would probably be more strongly influenced by Tim Burton, lmao :B

Without manga I wouldn't be making comics I would have gotten into fine arts more and I would probably be making contemporary art right now struggling to get into galleries just like some of my friends from college(not like I'm really much different now XD). There is a slim possibility that I still would be making comics but they'd probably look like old 80s tv shows or like rainbow brite. Possibly like invader zim or Kim possible like, but it's more likely I never would have started drawing comics.

I started drawing comics years before I ever read one so my style was pretty well entrenched by the time I finally picked one up. There have been some comic artist influences since then of course but I feel like starting to create first and actually read comics later helped me to establish a style uniquely my own. So for me if manga didn't exist almost nothing would change.
