While my novel focus mostly on the horror and fantasy elements, there's a budding romance between the two male leads!
Sete is a city that never sleeps: at the eastmost of the fake islands created by men, it exists as a parasite that devours the Source of all life, feeding the everhungry Federation, but such is the land of humans in a world of magic ā and yet, in this clockwork city, Samuel finds himself alone. His only company? The unreadable book hidden beneath his bed, and the foreign sorcerer by the sea whose name he doesnāt know.
However, he isnāt the one who keeps secrets.

Originally, it wasn't meant to have romance, but I couldn't deny the chemistry between the male leads carrying the story, so I've reworked it instead to have them romantically involved instead. The mysterious nature of the foreign Sorcerer plays into the mystery and fantasy elements of the series, in a way presenting him as the "supernatural love interest". Does he really fit that description? It's hard to say. But Samuel's feelings towards him initially are of fascination, horror and awe, and slowly change into something more as he fashions himself into a mage and gets to know the truth of the "laws" of this world. Ultimately, it's a novel about a "journey", and how different people might take different paths to the same destination -- will this cause conflict, or will this be what saves them? Those are the questions I want to explore...
