I've brewing up a potential project and browsing for Philippine or Manila-based artist and/or colorist to collaborate with. Paid. Working with an artist currently, but I'd like to supplement the project.

Eventually hoping to complete a graphic novel so if you're available for fast turnarounds, even better..

YA fantasy romance, so must be able to draw teenagers well. Looking for someone who's semi-professional, and can do deadlines.

Styles:
What I'm NOT looking for- Too anime.manga, realistic/Marvel/DC, or abstract.
What I'm looking for: Clear stortyelling, appealing characters, bright colors ( Think Jen Bartel's palette)

Can you comment here or oystersalsa@yahoo.com with a link to your COMICS/ SEQUENTIAL ART portfolio and PAGE RATES for coloring and/or PENCILS AND INKS? Digital File Formats preferred. Tiff or Clip.

Thank you!

Hello. Can you elaborate more on the style you’re looking for? What does too anime/manga mean? Is it the distorted proportions? And what do you mean by abstract? Are you talking about cartoons or did you really mean abstract comics?

Also please clarify the work that will be done, since you’re already working with another artist, are you looking for another character artist or will it be a background artist or just a strict colorist. And please mention the rendering style for the colorists, if it’s either cel shaded or semi-realistic.

I'm pretty open to styles, I just don't like something that looks like a typical shonen jump page or something that comes from a mainstream anime. or webtoon. Something more akin to an American midllegrade/YA/webcomic style. Faith Erin Hicks, Jen Wang, Yuko Ota, Borg Sinaban, Paulina Ganucheau-, Molly Ostertag, Ru Xiu, Cassandra Diaz-I know the pegs are eclectic, but something that fits alongside that.

And I'm looking for comic artists who can do backgrounds and everyday objects- an alternative all around penciller, as well as a colorist.

Also colorists- I'm open to several styles, except maybe anime-style cel shading. Flats are ok too, if the color choices are good- vibrant, saturated etc.
