I currently do an ongoing comedy webcomic called Filjoshi, about being an ageing fujoshi/ artist. I also did some short comics, one is called Horn (NSFW) about a paranormal romance gone wrong. Finally, a short comic about facing your fears, called Dragon Fear (because I lacked a better title).

No but thank you, this looks awesome too! I'll definitely subscribe.
Hi! I was reading a comic here. The setting was inspired by ancient Southeast Asia or Indonesia/ Philippines. I forgot to subscribe. I think it was fantasy, not sure about romance. Can anyone suggest comics that fit this description? Many thanks!!
Thanks! I understand.
Thank you, that's quite comprehensive. And thanks for linking your series! The browser version isn't too explicit either, it seems.
Making a NSFW webcomic. Can people post non-explicit versions on Tapas, etc, then save the explicit stuff for Patreon? Not looking to monetize necessarily! I'm on the app so I've no idea how NSFW or mature stuff works on here.
Do you have anything you'd like to do for a short (8-10 page story?
Hi, got any existing works or scripts I could check out? Thank you!
I'm not sure what the story is...?
Hi there! I need practice to draw comics again. Are you a writer with a short story that has a fresh new take on BL? Can you hook me on a logline? Or premise? Are you experienced ( have written scripts before)? If so, we could talk further and if we vibe, we could collaborate, I might illustrate it…
This sounds cool, and your art is great, I love NSFW kinda bondage-y stories. I just want to connect as a fellow nsfw/dark fantasy bl fan because I want to draw the same stuff but dont really have the confidence to do dark bl (I mostly do all ages stuff). I've been trying to revive my superhero bl…
I'm just not on Tapas a lot anymore, so I've missed out on recent developments.
Also colorists- I'm open to several styles, except maybe anime-style cel shading. Flats are ok too, if the color choices are good- vibrant, saturated etc.
And I'm looking for comic artists who can do backgrounds and everyday objects- an alternative all around penciller, as well as a colorist.
I'm pretty open to styles, I just don't like something that looks like a typical shonen jump page or something that comes from a mainstream anime. or webtoon. Something more akin to an American midllegrade/YA/webcomic style. Faith Erin Hicks, Jen Wang, Yuko Ota, Borg Sinaban, Paulina Ganucheau-, Mol…
oh right, I forgot Tapas has a prose component too.
Have you tried submitting to the graphic novel agents list?
I did #DVPit but got feedback that agents want the entire graphic novel written out. I only had a sample, first chapter, and synopsis. Working like mad on my script now, but I won't make #PitMad. Maybe in March. I'm considering paying a freelance editor to look at the manuscript but haven't found so…
I've brewing up a potential project and browsing for Philippine or Manila-based artist and/or colorist to collaborate with. Paid. Working with an artist currently, but I'd like to supplement the project. Eventually hoping to complete a graphic novel so if you're available for fast turnarounds, ev…
Hm. Crickets. Is there any reason why not too many people are submitting, or admitting they're submitting?
How do you determine the winners? Votes or do you have judges?
Sounds like a really complex story! Have you tried breaking it down? A friend of mine is working on a story with about ten mains and their stories are woven together. That's one approach.
I sent in mine but I think I should've formatted my sample comic differently. I didn't take into account that maybe it wouldn't occur to the judges that the images I sent are supposed to be stacked on top of each other to read as a webtoon :_: Anyway, good luck to all applicants!
I'm not 100% down with Yaoi being in the name since not all BL comics are graphic XXX, but I'll definitely be interested in the platform as both reader and creator.
I've heard that for a webcomic to be taken seriously by would-be publishers or by people looking at your portfolio, it should have a dedicated web page and domain. You can mirror on social sites like Tapastic/ Line, but it just seems more professional to have your own page (or so I've heard) if you'…
I don't think you need a reason other than you enjoy it! Glad you're doing it.
I know, I wish there was a place we could post risque webcomics. I know most go to Tumblr, but I'm afraid of the community there, they can be a bit judgemental?
There's akways Tumblr for the really nasty stuff I suppose. But being NSFW is putting yourself out there in a very vulnerable way.
I've added another of my NSFW comics : Horn https://tapastic.com/episode/371584?comment_id=2053723 And yeah, my comic Filjoshi really is pretty tame, but there's no telling about the rules over here, they could change at a moment's notice so I'm trying to err on the side of caution and tag anythin…
Hi! First post here. I do a comic, Filjoshi, that sometimes skirts the boundaries of an R-rating and features mild NSFW images. It's basically the fantasies of a Filipino fujoshi, and sometimes those fantasies get out of hand. There's nothing extremely lewd and everything is censored but it does …
here's my latest page from Filjoshi- it's about being an ageing fujoshi and her fantasties, interspersed with slice of life anecdotes. Only partly autobiographical, I swear! http://tapastic.com/episode/182677 It's only sometimes NSFW but rarely lewd. And it's not technically BL, but it does touch on…
