Anyone heard of Medibang ArtStreet?

So Tapas is obviously about comics and novels and some people make side series to put bonus artworks or bts stuff for their main series but then there's gallery comics which don't quite fit any to any category except being a collection of artwork.

I myself am guilty of having one of these and wish to rectify that (though I'm a little nervous trying to take it down since it's the only place that's got art I lost on a specific drive )

That aside I'm looking to find another home for more recent illustrations aside from the usual twitter, instagram, tumblr or deviantart one of the candidates being: Medibang's own platform ArtStreet

The only thing is...I dunno much about the site

There's obviously the info they have in their adverts as well as the contents of their site terms, privacy policy and so on, but I've got no context on the community. The stuff available on ArtStreet does seem pretty neat though, lots of contests, free to use assets and coloring pages and other things, even themed features but I want more, y'know? The juice or tea or dirt or whatever the kids call it now

So I suppose my question or curiosity is does anyone know of the site? Has anyone used it? Would anyone consider using it?

I'm personally not in a huge rush since I've been getting into the idea of just having certain illustrations up on my Ko-fi page but something with a gallery format would be nice. That and I'm genuinely clueless on how to use sites like tumblr and haven't touched DA in ages 'cept for the page I made semi-recently with nothing but a bio and my active links on it

I just went to the site and explored a bit, didnt knew it. it also has a place to upload comics.

I read a comic with a 100 pages, 5k views, and zero comments, lol. what a wild ride.

Well I am not sure, but I think most people register there and actually publish something there only because they participate in contests. I know I did 3 years ago, participating in Jump+ contest =) Aside from the contests, I don't think there is something worthy going on there.

This was something that I felt even though I've not participated in their contests (only considered but even then...eh)

I'm likely to just stick with Ko-fi since it's got the gallery (and albums now) so there's some level of organization to things which is what I mostly want.

I think participating can be worth a while =) if you have time of course. But I think they mostly have contests of manga, so only b\w, one-shots, etc, it would be useless to go there with the usual coloured comic. But they also have illustrations contests, which is nice.
Btw Tumblr is easy as it gets, aside from strict non-nsfw rule. Maybe try Pixiv, buuut it's very Japanese, anime and nsfw-oriented.

I'm definitely willing to to try tumblr i think it's just a matter of getting past the initial fear/intimidation i tend to experience (it's odd but i dunno how to explain)

but yeah might give ArtStreet a shot for it's illustration contests too even if i don't see myself as on level with the other top folks its a nice challenge and change of pace

I found Tumblr to be dead. Barely any activity there, but maybe it’s because I’m rubbish.
I found Pixiv to be a LOT better.

Well it's very hard to gain readers on Tumblr if you are not drawing fanart. And I think after they went full sfw, lots of people just decided to leave it, more and more artists I followed go to Twitter and Insta instead. And now they were bought by someone else, so there are even more problems.

Most people though follow Pixiv only for anime and fanart too? I don't know if it's possible to gain readers there with original non-anime artworks.

Yes, with porn. And some people there also read my regular comic too, so that's a plus.
