Anyone here use ipad pro (the 9.7 inch one)? if so I need some guide

I just got an iPad pro but since I'm pretty much have no idea how to work this thing (this is my first apple related thing), I want some guide of whatever it is if you have any, and some useful apps recommendation too if possible with the pro and con.

you should definitely get procreate lol.
actually, most artists who get the procreate/apple pencil combo get it FOR procreate (including me), since it's a really good drawing program (comparable to Sai in my opinion). It's a really effective on-screen tablet and enables you to do a variety of things like animation and photo manipulation. I'm not sponsored by Procreate.

I also recommend Vectornator if you're going to do graphic design projects/vectorize things for T-shirts and mugs, etc.

As for apple products in general, you don't really get a lot of customization options but the good part is that a lot of things are already preset for you. The first thing you want to do is create an Apple ID (which enables you to "customize" what you can and sync across devices/ have iCloud), and go to settings to toggle the basic stuff (WiFi, control center, etc.) honestly with Apple products everything is already set up for you, so you don't really have to "learn" anything.

I might be dumb but, do you need an already existing email or something to create the ID? And does procreate have features that support comic making? I've watched some tutorials and stuff but it doesn't like its fitting for comic making.

Cps is available but I heard its subscription based, which is impossible for me to do. The free option I know is only Medibang and ibis paint.

I think yeah, you need an existing email to make an Apple ID.

Also I would say yes, Procreate is pretty good for making comics. I can't really compare it to CSP since I never used it but can say that I've had a better experience using Procreate than using Sai to make comics. Some features it has:

• draw straight lines parallel to y-axis or x-axis (good for panelling)
• Fully customizable brushes (that you can download from the web also)
• Efficient color picking
• Customizable control center + others (you can flip the canvas easily this way)
• Text option (although it's a pain to resize the text ugh)
• Quickshape option - make perfect circles/ellipses/lines/curves/rectangles/triangles
• Layer options (i.e. Multiply)
• Easy undo (two finger tap by default)

some drawbacks compared to using a drawing tablet:

• No keyboard shortcuts, which minimizes customization
• You have to recharge the Apple pencil, although it's really easy and charges up pretty quickly
• You have to recharge the iPad...
• Downloading things into the iCloud is different than downloading directly onto the computer
• Procreate doesn't have a trash, so if you delete anything you're pretty much screwed forever.
• The magic wand tool is ass. You basically have to flat colors by hand (using the polygon/lasso tool) but it's actually OK once you get used to it. I was depending too much on the magic wand tool anyway lol.
• Sometimes it glitches.. But hey what drawing program doesn't

There are a few apps/programs that help you with posing/angling figures by giving you a (pose-able) mannequin you can draw/trace/paint over. I've used ArtPose Pro, but there are a few other viable choices.

Okay, so something I need confirmation with was if we really have to fill our real home address when accessing the app store and the like? And I don't think I find any telephone option on this Ipad. Is it really normal?

Um, when I got an iPad, I couldn’t really afford to get a good drawing app, (I’m pretty sure procreate costs? So I got ibis paint instead, and I would recommend it to anyone who didn’t have money to shell out after getting an expensive iPad. It’s honestly fantastic!

Then again, I’m really not the best artist, so I might not be the best person to ask, but it works for me, and it’s free!

I live for Procreate so I'm here to second that! I'm fairly new to it, but I've never found a text option in that app. So usually I draw everything on Procreate and then I use Clip Art Studio to add the texts. Basically I just save my panels to my images, open them up in Clip Art, and add the language. Then I save as a JPEG from there and can upload to Tapas and Webtoons.
Also, the dimensions I used for my panels are 800x1280 but I'm wondering if there's better dimensions to use? Does anyone know??
Procreate is AMAZING for doing art though. I have so much fun with it. And you can download a bunch of other brushes.

I just re-did my novel cover using procreate. I was able to do it in like 4 hours.
(I'm still very new to webart and my ipad, and I recently discovered the blending option on Procreate and I'm never going back).

I will also vouch for procreate and the apple pencil - it is a match made in digital heaven! I draw my entire comic in procreate then export to photoshop to crop panels that are too large, which is probably my only con with the program..

Also I can confirm that there is a text option - but I haven't really played around with it ( I do all my lettering by hand). So I don't know how easy it is to use.

Another app you might want to consider is Canva if you need to create promotional content for social media - it is inanely easy to use and they have a bunch of templates you can use for all the main social media platforms.
