I agree. It can become a lot of work, and there are a lot of things to consider.
You can join a big site like Tapastic that enjoys a lot of traffic, and gain views to your work based on that.
Alternatively, you could join a smaller website like Becomics that is still young, and therefore receives less traffic. You can take advantage of that, and know that your work will be easily found on the landing page for a longer time since we do not get as many daily uploads. Also you can be a hipster and say "I was on Becomics before it was cool!".
But in all seriousness, we know how difficult it is to maintain your comics on multiple mirrors, and we realize that for the most part we will be mirrors. We don't have the ability to compete with massive websites like Tapastic (yet!), but, we do offer some features Tapastic doesn't.
Therefore, you don't have to move your entire anthology to Becomics, but you can take advantage of what we offer WHEN you need it.
As John Lasseter (Pixar) once said "The art challenges the technology, and the technology inspires the art.". We hope that our technology will inspire people to create content designated for our platform. We have so many ideas for what can be done, now we're just waiting for someone to pick up the glove and do it.
Imagine a girl's scared face, we zoom into her eye, and see in her eye the reflection of what she's seeing (another panel).
Imagine a story where you keep reading the next panel, and the next panel, until eventually we reach the first panel again, zoom out to show it was all drawn on one big circle.
Imagine reading a set of panels, then zoom out far enough to see that the arrangement of the panels on the page spells a word.
Imagine a galaxy with many stars, where the user can zoom-in to any star they wish and discover the story of that star.
An infinite canvas is a powerful tool! Someday, someone will do something that will rock our worlds.
And so many other creative features are coming that will allow artists to do even more. We are not creating features based on what people need. We are creating features nobody needs, so that with time they will inspire more innovations and more creative content.
