@jwabeasley Yeah I get that. Opera can be pretty long to sit through. I watched an English version of Mozart’s The Magic Flute in high school and it was awesome! That one I can sit through!
I don’t remember the name of the other opera my choir class watched but it was sung in Italian but it was set in France. 🤣
I also watched the opera Lakmé for research for my comic Elsie. Just to get an idea of what happens in the play. Spoilers it’s tragic. But yeah Lakmé was hard for me to sit through and focus but the set design and the characters helped.
No one:
My brain for no reason:
BANG BANG
Amazing, you do voice work? what character did you do?
I also love villains! but that's only case if they're not too much to handle sometimes protagonist are good if they have unique persona
wow, that must takes a lot of gaming then. do you still do it? what's your recent game?
what makes me come back for my favorite thing? I'd say that I'm most envious of others when they have better art than mine, so it's mostly my jealousy burning and on side note, I also felt for my author's sense that I do love my characters and I want to present them in their best!
anime moment, I can't remember but manga, yes, in Oshi no ko there's one moment when a famous mangaka want to make live action film where she hates the actors when they didn't make her characters the way she wanted. I would feel the same about that.
for songs, I felt fired up when the songs actually voiced struggle makes success because that's how I got this far and I don't want to fail no matter what happen. I haven't prove my mom that artist do make money, and I want to use that money to help her and show her that my dream is not a joke
This thread looks fun! I wanna be more active amongst webcomic authors even if I'm fairly busy, so here goes:
My favorite anime of all time is probably Madoka Magica, and some other shows I like are Delicious in Dungeon, Apothecary Diaries, Azumanga Daioh, One Piece, and Ranma 1/2. I've also been really into Dropout TV's improv series like Make Some Noise and Very Important People, but ESPECIALLY Dimension 20 Fantasy High. I'm so excited about the webtoon that's coming later this year
Aside from art, I also enjoy playing and listening to music. I'm big into Alternative and Punk Rock, though I'm down to listen to anything really. I play bass and guitar, and I also record music sometimes
There's too many songs to list, so I'll keep it at 10 songs I really like right now:
Interpol - "Slow Hands"
My Bloody Valentine - "Only Shallow"
Ween - "The Mollusk"
Streetlight Manifesto - "The Hands that Thieve"
Paul McCartney - "Temporary Secretary"
Tears for Fears - "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"
Paramore - "Misery Business"
AJJ - "Rejoice"
The Fratellis - "Flathead"
Jimmy Eat World - "Futures"I've kinda stepped away from gaming for the time being, mostly because I'm busy these days, but whenever I do find myself gaming, I'm mostly playing Cities Skylines 1 and Age of Empires III Definitive edition. I'm trying to get more into DND though, mostly for the role playing and character creation
What I wanna know is what inspired you to write your main character in your webcomic?
*Edit - Forgot the actual song that has been living rent free in my head for the past 3 weeks
Ooo this looks fun. I'll join in!
I've watched wayyy too many anime over many years so my favorites are always changing, but the one that's always stayed at the top since watching it has to be Black Clover. Recently, some of the ones I've really liked have been Kaiju No. 8, Tsukimichi, Hell's Paradise, and The Elusive Samurai. For series that used to be at my top but now have fallen a tad bit, it'd probably be The Rising of the Shield Hero, Dr. Stone, and Gundam the Witch from Mercury.
Of course, probably my most frequent hobby is writing. Other than that, I also enjoy just blasting music or absolutely spacing out while imaging potential stories I've yet to write (sometimes a combination of those two at once)
I don't necessarily have specific favorite songs, but definitely favorite artists. In terms of English artists, I love anything by Linkin Park, Set It Off, Livingston, and basically all the songs from Arcane. For Japanese artists (which is mainly the other kinda music I listen to), it'd have to be Mafumafu and Ado.
I'm a sucker for gacha games, my main fixation right now being Honkai Star Rail. I do also play a tad bit of Reverse 1999 right now, but my gacha fixations tend to rotate around every few months. I also play a lot of Minecraft and Valorant.
I haven't read everyone else's replies yet so I don't know if this has been asked, but what would be your dream vacation spot, and what activities would you want to do / places you'd want to visit?
Great taste! delicious in dungeon looks interesting but I don't have time to watch it.
that's amazing that you can do 2D animation, that takes skills to do that! ah, but mostly, have good time of resting, and it's fine to have more hobbies that means you're flexible
That game sounds interesting too
an anime where it's mediocre but liked huh.. if I had to choose.. Saint Seiya I guess?
