Apart from DBZ, what anime did you enjoy watching on Toonami 20 years ago?

While there was no Toonami here, I loved watching City Hunter on TV back then. I can still watch that show any day, it was really ahead of its time. A shame that few people remember the anime while almost everyone I know has seen the Jackie Chan movie based on it.

20 years ago, I was 5. Not much for me to watch lmao I think the earliest exposure of anime for me at that time was DBZ, Pokemon, and... Sailor Moon? I think my older sisters were into it. As a 5-year-old, I would've definitely enjoyed it more for the visuals.

I also vaguely remember waking up early for school and seeing some old anime between the end of Adult Swim and the regular morning cartoons. I think it was Speed Racer and Gigantor. Bits of the Gigantor theme (US version, I'm sure) are just ingrained in my head now tbh

Didn't have Toonami here, but I enjoyed Inuyasha, Mahojin Guru Guru and an anime that here was called Ufo Baby but I think the original title was DaDaDa.

Well 20 years ago i was like 3 but I think Toonami was around a bit longer than that soo....I remember liking watching Naruto when it used to come on Toonami. I remember seeing One Piece there too but it was in the Alabasta arc at the time so I was just kind of lost lol.

Also this may be bad memory but I think that Justice League Unlimited was on toonami as well which was my introduction to the DCAU i think. And maybe Samurai Jack.

I also remember seeing Prince of Tennis, Zatch Bell, and this might be a huge stretch but I think there was a Megaman anime that played on toonami for a bit? idk

looking back on wing , some of the drama felt too much, but still it holds that place for being my introduction to the gundam franchies, few months ago i had watched the movie versions of the orginal gundam series and char's counter attack and was better , my pick agasin char's Counter Attack was it felt rushed
