When I worked as an assistant, I got 1200¥ per page (about 9$). My job was putting blacks, screentones and hatching on characters (the manga was black and white). The mankaga had a contract with an editor tho, she was able to pay multiple assistants.

Oh yes, Ctrl+Z can't fix something you did before saving and closing. At least you know the possible cause now

You can always try to Ctrl+Z to the beginning, if you don't want to delete the overlapping panels.

And when you tried to move the panel the first time, can you remember if you used the red or the blue one? To keep the same gutters, you only have to use the red one. Maybe you touched the blue, or the yellow arrow instead, is this possible?

When moving the panel with the Operation Tool, you drag the red edge, right? Not the blue. I'm asking this to better understand your issue.

Happy Pride Month! The main focus of my comic is fantasy/adventure, not romance, but the main characters have an enemies to friends to lovers arc. It's gonna be a very slow burn. Grim (blue eyes) is Bi and Loge (redhead) is Demi and Pan. [image]

Grimnir has become Grimlin, which sounds like a Gremlin subspecies and it's perfectly in-character.

This comic isn't mine, but it fits well in this thread: fantasy, DnD inspired and also awesome art! So I'd like to recommend it

Porco Rosso. :pig: It's like I can't get tired of that movie

I'm glad you figured it out!

Restarting the app may work. If not, have you tried the options in the wrench icon? Maybe there's something helpful there

They're wonderful! [:heart_01:]:rabbit2:

Your first post was a reply to mine, so I thought it was some sort of answering to what I was saying. :joy: So I was "what did I miss??" too. So, a bit of a misunderstanding.

Uhm when I talked about name meanings and searching tools I didn't suggest that? I just think that if I'm gonna use a name, at least I'll look up to its history and such, especially if it's a name from a different culture than mine.

I like this site for names: https://www.behindthename.com/ It has cool searching tools and explains history and meaning of names.

Gameboy color with Pokemon Blue! I played that game so much that one day "no room for more data" appeared on the screen.

No thank you! This collab is fun and the result will be amazing!️ So curious to see the third basket

Thank you! 🥰 I'll keep going and draw even more!

Yay thank you so much!:rabbit::rabbit:

Can I take n.5 basket 2? This is so cute!

I'm drawing chapter 5! I thought I'd chicken out of this, but here I am. [:tapa_pop:]

I see! No print means more freedom on page count, I can make bigger panels without worrying about using too much space on the page. Thank you for this example! Both of your pages work well: you don't actually "need" the repeated panel when working on page format, but it adds movement in vertical for…

Thanks for your feedback! I'll try putting shorter distance between the "action panels" and more distance between "environment panels". The fact that vertical format isn't mean for print make me feel a bit lost, like where's the safe, where's the bleed?? I need to practice this new skill

Hi everyone! I dunno if this is true for you, but I really dislike the first chapter of my webcomic (bad art etc.), so I mess around it a lot and I use it for experiments. Today I tried to turn the first two pages into scroll format, mostly out of curiosity. But I'm not really sure about the result,…

I notice that a lot. As a beginner, I also did that. Now I try to do better. I think it mostly happens when the artist isn't confident in their own skill, but everybody grows out of this eventually. I try to make characters act with their whole bodies, especially the hands, but I'm not sure I alway…

I like this example a lot: the artist makes the characters break the panel borders, and the camera changes the distance from the characters in every panel. This adds a lot of movement, so this page doesn't need panels in different shape/dimension! [:coffee_love:] this style works perfectly

I'm very chaotic when drawing, and often the result is a complete mess! XD I've learned to measure things like gutters and bleed margins, but I still hate when I have to draw things exactly. I'm saying this meaning that I admire you for keeping things even and measurable.

About character sheets: I open them only when I'm drawing some side character I don't show often, to keep their face proportions conspicuos. The only referente I keep open all the time is the one with mc's hand tattoos. For height reference I use 3D models of the various characters, to keep the same…
