Apply your OC/Avatar to cameo in my comic :)!

I've been pitching this for a while now on my comics but I shall do it it here too.
I'm working on the second chapter of Hacheeachkee right now for summer 2016. Chp 2 takes place on a transportation hub planet giving opportunity for many cameos to appear in the backgrounds.

When you apply keep in mind

• that I will link a description in the pages for the creators of the cameos featured, there will also be a reference page at the end of the chapter identifying every cameo.
• Also note that though it may be unlikely, I may one day print the comic to be sold at conventions and that by applying your OC you are ok with this possibility. If it is printed, it will include a reference page to every cameo with links to their proper creators.
  • Because it is a planet of many aliens, less human OCs are preferred, hybrids/humanoids are ok, if you don't have a non-human OC you can still apply, but the chances of your cameo appearing becomes less , the comic is also in color, so a colored reference would be very helpful
  • I will try to inform you when your OC appears but with the increasing list I may forget...
  • Do note that these pages will not be released until summer 2016 so have patience

You have my permission to use someone from Working Doodles if you like. There's many wacky characters on there. Just let me know if/when you post the pages they appear in. If you'd rather I pick one or a few to narrow it down to then let me know.

A couple of suggestions from me just now would be Bertie, the Sub-Human snail, who has already appeared in another comic or maybe the minimum security prism could be found breaking out in the background.?

I would of course do a little post myself if you used my characters and link people to your work in return.

Like I said, even if they're human they can be applied
It's just that if I have too many humans in a single scene then it won't really feel like an alien-like planet. But I can scatter them about if I have enough versatile cameos

Ive got a few aliens you can use!

The green one is the most main character of the 3, his nickname is Advice Box (since on earth he hides in a bread box and gives advice to my human main characters, as sarcastic as it may be), his real name is Argnos. The blue one is Melvin, and the red one is a villain by the name of Bulditon. Also gave some pages they appear in a reference. You're welcome to use them as long as I get credit! good luck on your book!

Sounds awesome! I love collaborations, cameos, and crossovers like this. It's a nice way to spice up a crowd of extras with fan favorites and subtle references.

This appears to be a predominately sci-fi setting, so how would you handle fantasy characters? Or is that not an issue? Because I have pseudo-human characters from a fantasy story, and human characters from a super hero story. Which would you prefer?

Not an issue at all You can suggest any cameos you'd like to see appear. pseudo-human would probably be better though.

The story spans across many different worlds (the female character is basically "studying abroad" the universe and meeting people on her journey and sometimes letting them join her on her travels. This is the 2nd chapter, but the start of the main plot and traveling)

So I haven't really defined it as fantasy or scifi (because fantasy could just be a world on a different planet right? shrugs , ), just adventure.

Just a wide and diverse group of character cameos is what I'm going for, if they're all humans then it doesn't really look appropriate for the setting.

Well then these two may make an interesting pair to see in this place:

You can draw either of them with or without their body armor (but probably without if they're not in a dangerous place,) but Hilda always wears the arm and leg plates, and the other small plates.
(edit: I never did do Hilda's hair very well or consistently. So feel free to adjust it as you see fit.)

Also, I just kind of threw this reference set together from panels from the comic. If you want something a little more professional, I can put something together. In fact, I've kind of been meaning to do that anyways.

Well, good luck with your project-- this scene and the comic as a whole. I just started reading it, and it seems pretty cool so far! Interesting species design, by the way.
I look forward to seeing the scene completed! I already see a few characters I recognize : )
