Are You A Fellow Horror Comic Artist?

Hello, my webcomic is premiering (again) in a few days and it's basically fantasy/horror. I wanted to kind of start talking with other horror artists or artists/fans who like the horror genre. If you have a creepy comic, I'd like to give it a read So post it below~

I also think it would be fun to do collaborations or fanart for each other, especially during the month of October~ (It's never too early to start making plans for next Halloween : P )

I´m uploading a fancomic that mostly has to do with psychological horror, it´s been making a ruckus with those that watch me at deviantart (they aren´t used to see that kind of story)

At first it looks like it doesn´t have to do but it´s pretty much shown in later chapters :3

"Flames of a Reveriel" it´s a fancomic about the cartoon "The PowerPuff Girls" though it has "The RowdyRuff Boys" as main protagonists.

I like the horror genre when it plays with people´s minds to put them on edge to what´s going to happen (yes, suspense) but when it also involves the character´s mind being progressively disturbed ouo

I'm working on a horror comic right now, but unfortunately it's not ready to upload, yet. In the meantime, you can check out may short comic Where Kitties Come from , which is more comedy than anything, but is still pretty creepy, and my ongoing comic Zoie, witch isn't really horror ether, but it has some freaky stuff coming before the end.

Interesting. To be honest it's not my cup of tea. I guess I do like psychological horror but in a...less graphic matter? I actually hate blood and gore (I know, what kind of horror fan am I?). Not to say I don't mind a little bit of it. When I do draw blood, it's in black ink. My kind of horror is like the movie Coraline. I also love Big Daddy and Little Sister from Bioshock 2. I'm not sure how to describe that type of horror though xD

Also, about the webcomic link thing...uh, gosh I'm bad at explaining things, but basically you highlight a word with your mouse cursor and then you click the chain looking icon on the little bar above the text box you're writing in. It's the first icon before the quote icon. Click that and copy/paste your link where it tells you and it should work. Sorry if that was a bad explanation ;A:

Ohh! I like Zoie! You're wrong about it not really being horror though (in my opinion). It's really creepy and awesome! Horror is not just about gore and zombies and...whatever typical trope is in the horror genre.

Oh I don´t really go that graphic on the blood stuff, yes, there´s some of it but there´s no guts showing or anything like that ._. it´s disturbing for the storyline and well, the things implied... but, it has a bit of violence and blood which if you are sensitive to it then yeah it might not be your cup of tea XD

(It´s worth mentioning psychological horror means mental conflict as well, it is usually misinterpreted)

Mostly, the "violence" and "blood" the story has is directed to show "realism", make the audience see how the character does suffer physically when hurt that way... people (at least in the fandom of my story) is used to no matter how they get hurt there´s no blood, there´s no showing what reality is and that´s what I aim for; I´m doing a story in attempt to break with the conventional approach to the cartoon so you see, my focus is not really the blood but something much more deep :3

Haha, it might be a teeny bit early for Halloween prep! But I think its a fantastic idea, Its something I was thinking strongly about for when I'm a little more ahead on my schedule, doing art trades and collabs with other creators. If you look at Youtube as a model, collabs between creators are fairly often very benificial to both parties, the sharing of audiences and the extra exposure they get. Defo something I'm interested in, as I said, once I've a stack of pages ahead of schedule.

As for my status as a horror artist, I'd like to say I can fit that description, sort of. One of my biggest influences is Mike Mignola (Hellboy) which deals in horror subjects but perhaps wouldnt be considered a horror comic? I'd possibly be similar. Im focused on building tension, atmosphere and there's some monsters coming up. If you'd like to check it out I've two pages up so far, its called The Ravens and The Wolves

Looking forward to seeing more from your comic, started off strong, I like alex' design a lot.

I wouldn't class Red & Cyan as horror, but there are a lot of very dark moments. I guess the latest page is leading it down a horror path. Sounds interesting doing art of other peoples work, and vice versa!

Gosh, I love Mike Mignola. I can see it in your style. But yeah, no rush with collabs or anything, I just thought it be interesting. My comic has yet to get to the weird and creepy parts, but my style of horror is more Coraline than anything. I like making scary things for all audiences. I'd write more but I'm on my tablet and it hates me....

My comic Xibalba falls neatly into the horror genre though it's only just begun so there really isn't much to be horrified by at this point.

I dunno if you can call it purely horror but Hacheeachkee is both Fantasy and contains rather gruesome images which can be categorized as horror (cannibalism, suicides, disintegrating flesh... )

(although that last one is about to come up in future posts <.<)....

I don't think I'd mind collabs ^w^ I've a side comic called Artist Confessions that's more for that kinda stuff.

I'm also doing an october-zombie-themed comic called DeathPrince that will have some potentially gruesome scenes in it aswell, but it's more so on the romance side

You could consider my comic horror in some respects, there are frightening monsters and demons that appear, though the only one that's appeared so far is this lovely lady.

Hello everyone!
I just started a horror comic called Seriously Strange. This is based off of the series Seriously Strange by Rob Dyke and i really just wanted to make a comic for Rob and his fans. The comic will have some blood, some gore and other crazy stuff in it. I just uploaded the first episode, come check it out.
