It was kind of a relief reading your comment...I have a bachelor degree in illustration, I'm supposed to love drawing ALL THE TIME, so I almost feel like there's something wrong with me when I feel like I need a break - good to know there are others that aren't as addicted to drawing either. I work a full-time job that I'm not too fond of (it has nothing to do with illustration), and that sucks out a lot of my energy, so when I finally get home I just want to do NOTHING.
I have the same problem with boredom too - if I want to draw something that is a bit of a challenge and that takes more time than I had planned, I find it hard to keep focused and so I get really bored, especially when I'm just working on my own stuff. If it's for clients it's different - it's more like a mission, and you're getting paid, so you have to deliver! Telling stories is the fun part, and I've chosen to do so through comics because I do like drawing, I'm just low on energy and not on the skill level I'd like to be.
